The school in the capital city leads the neighborhood-level Olympic competition.

GD&TĐ - Giang Vo Secondary School affirmed its leading position by winning 27 first prizes at the Giang Vo Ward Secondary School Level 6, 7, and 8 Grade 8 Cultural Subjects Olympic Competition.

On the afternoon of May 25th, the People's Committee of Giang Vo Ward ( Hanoi City) held a ceremony to summarize and award prizes for the Olympic competition in cultural subjects for grades 6, 7, and 8 at the junior high school level for the 2025-2026 school year.

According to the Organizing Committee, this year's exam attracted 1,131 registered students, of which 1,129 participated, with only 2 absent. The scale of the exam was considered large, with the number of candidates equivalent to approximately 62% of the total number of candidates in the former Ba Dinh district in last year's exam season.

This year, for the first time, the exam includes 19 subjects. Grade 8 students will take 13 subjects, while grades 6 and 7 will each take 3 subjects. Notably, in addition to foreign languages ​​such as English, French, and Japanese, the exam has added Korean, reflecting the local government's orientation towards international integration in education .

After the examination, grading, and review process, a total of 647 students in the ward received awards. Of these, 31 awards went to students in grades 6 and 7 who participated in advanced-level exams in subjects intended for grade 8. The exam also recognized four students who won awards in two different subjects: Pham Minh Bao Lam, Nguyen Thai Vinh, Trinh Nhat Minh, and Dao Nha Truc.

In terms of collective achievements, Giang Vo Secondary School leads the entire ward with 27 first prizes, 44 second prizes, 81 third prizes, and 90 consolation prizes.
