With a brilliant comeback, Le Xuan Manh won the championship of Road to Olympia 23

On the morning of October 8, the Final Round of Road to Olympia 23 took place with the competition between 4 talented candidates who passed the weekly, monthly and quarterly rounds in 2023.

They are the "climbers": Nguyen Viet Thanh, Soc Son High School, Hanoi city; Nguyen Minh Triet, Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted, Thua Thien-Hue province; Le Xuan Manh, Ham Rong High School, Thanh Hoa province; and Nguyen Trong Thanh, Tran Phu High School for the Gifted, Hai Phong city.

In addition to the main broadcast location at Studio S14 of Vietnam Television, the program also has 4 broadcast locations in: Hanoi, Hai Phong , Thanh Hoa and Thua Thien-Hue.

In the final result, with 220 points, contestant Le Xuan Manh, Ham Rong High School, Thanh Hoa province, came from behind to win the championship with a 24k gold-plated laurel wreath and a prize worth 50,000 USD.

In order of the draw, 4 candidates appeared from the stands, namely Trong Thanh, Minh Triet, Viet Thanh and Xuan Manh. They briefly introduced their hometown and expressed their determination.

The final round began with the "Warm-up" round consisting of three rounds, in which contestants had to ring the bell to gain the right to answer. If the answer was correct, the contestant would receive 10 points, and if the answer was incorrect, 5 points would be deducted. At the end of the round, Trong Thanh led with 65 points; followed by Minh Triet and Viet Thanh with 30 points each; and Xuan Manh with 10 points.

The "obstacle" of the final round was a 15-letter mystery. Viet Thanh answered all the keywords correctly in this part of the test and took the lead in the climbing team with 70 points.

Moving on to the "Acceleration" round, contestants will answer 4 questions, with 30 seconds to think each question. The contestant who answers correctly and fastest will receive 40 points; the second place contestant will receive 30 points, followed by 20 and 10 points.

In this round, Trong Thanh won 40 points, followed by Xuan Manh with 30 points; Minh Triet with 20 points; Viet Thanh with 10 points. At the end of the round, Trong Thanh led with 165 points, followed by Viet Thanh with 140 points; Xuan Manh with 100 points; Minh Triet with 70 points.

Although he did not lead in the "Warm-up," "Overcoming Obstacles," and "Acceleration" rounds, it was his breakthrough in the final round that helped Xuan Manh win the glorious laurel wreath.

Second prize went to Trong Thanh with a prize of 200 million VND; Third prize went to Viet Thanh and Minh Triet with a prize worth 100 million VND.
