Lam Dong people turn to compatriots affected by floods

To show our support for our fellow countrymen in the North who are suffering heavily from floods, many agencies, units, organizations and people in Lam Dong province have organized many activities to join hands and contribute efforts and funds to support people in flooded areas.

On the afternoon of October 9, at the Receiving Point for Essential Goods to Support Flood Victims in the North in Phu Thuy Ward ( Lam Dong Province), Ms. Tran Thi Xuan Quy and members of the volunteer association urgently arranged goods and took turns on duty to receive necessities, clothes, blankets, mosquito nets, etc. After nearly a day of launching and calling, Ms. Quy's group received more than 500 boxes of instant noodles, 100 boxes of water and many necessities such as milk, medicine, candy, fish sauce, life jackets, etc. It is expected that on the afternoon of October 10 or the morning of October 11, these goods will be transported to the North and given to people in localities affected by natural disasters.

Ms. Tran Thi Xuan Quy, Phu Thuy ward said: The updated information from localities about the damage caused by floods in the North makes us sympathize with the scene of our people sleeping on the ground... Thanks to having organized many times to deliver goods to support people in flood-affected areas in the past 5 years, our reception organization as well as our plan to organize donations and relief has been very favorable. We also organized other reception points in Ham Thuan, Luong Son, Phan Ri Cua communes... The relief goods prioritize essential necessities that can be used immediately without processing.

Ms. Nguyen Hoang Yen Nhi, in Mui Ne ward, just transported 10 cartons of milk and 3 cartons of bottled water to the receiving point and said: "Through television, I feel sorry for my fellow countrymen. Through these shipments, I would like to ask you to send a little bit of your heart to the people affected by natural disasters."

At the Reception Point at 32 Nguyen Hoi, Phan Thiet Ward (Lam Dong Province), people continue to bring rice, new clothes, candy, instant noodles, etc. to support people in Thai Nguyen and Son La provinces, which are suffering heavy losses due to floods.

Mr. Nguyen Truong Son, representative of the Reception Point at 32 Nguyen Hoi, said: "Although we are busy with work, in the face of the huge damage caused by storms and floods to the people of the North, we decided to open a reception point. Thanks to owning Facebook and Tiktok channels with many followers, we have received widespread attention. All received goods will be gathered and participate in the 0 Dong Bus of the Lam Dong Group, with nun Tue Thong directly delivering the goods to the Northern region on October 13."

The tradition of "helping each other" continues to be carried out by officers, soldiers and people of Lam Dong province, contributing to helping people severely affected by storms and floods to quickly overcome and stabilize their lives.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province has called on all party members, cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, armed forces, people from all walks of life, agencies, units, organizations, businesses, and philanthropists to promote tradition, unite, join hands to share and support people in areas affected by storms and floods. Up to now, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province has received nearly 28 billion VND.
