Man driving boat under bridge was hit and killed

The man was driving the boat through Bun Ba Cua canal when he suddenly crashed into a bridge girder, resulting in his death on the spot.

At around 3:00 p.m. on May 18, at Bun Ba Cua bridge in Hamlet 2, Thuy Tay commune, Thanh Hoa district, Long An province, a rare accident occurred on a boat, killing one man.

According to initial information, the 35-ton boat was driven by a man (about 45 years old, identity unknown) from Duong Van Duong canal to Bun Ba Cua canal.

When he reached the bridge area, the water level in the canal was high, but the man still let the boat pass. This caused the engine and his body to hit the bridge girder, killing him.

Upon receiving the information, the police of Thuy Tay commune, Thanh Hoa district (Long An province) were present at the scene to coordinate with the authorities, collect information, verify the victim's identity, and investigate the cause./.
