The current trend is for people to reduce their food stockpiling during Tet, so suppliers are not under pressure to prepare goods for this period.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong Ngoc, Director of the Fresh Food Department at Bach Hoa Xanh, said that the company has prepared many plans for the peak shopping season at the end of the year and the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake 2025.

According to Ms. Ngoc, the way Vietnamese people celebrate Tet (Lunar New Year) is changing. Specifically, people are not buying excessive amounts of food to stockpile, and they are traveling more during Tet. Therefore, the shopping during the peak Tet season does not put too much pressure on supermarkets.
“People shop a lot during Christmas, New Year's Day, and the run-up to Lunar New Year (December 26-30). The amount of fresh food that Bach Hoa Xanh serves during these occasions increases by 30-50% compared to normal days,” Ms. Ngoc said.
According to Ms. Ngoc, the demand for fresh food in the northern region is currently increasing sharply after Typhoon Yagi . This has somewhat impacted prices in the market. However, food suppliers are making efforts to control prices and are not increasing selling prices during the end-of-year period.
Ms. Ngoc shared that, in the fresh produce sector, more than 1,700 Bach Hoa Xanh stores import an average of about 250 tons of meat daily to meet consumer demand, equivalent to 7,500 tons per month. This includes over 1,000 tons of fresh chicken per month.
Fresh chicken sold at Bach Hoa Xanh supermarkets is becoming increasingly popular with consumers, experiencing strong sales growth. Specifically, consumers are increasingly choosing products from CPV Food (CP Group). From 2021 to the present, CPV Food's fresh chicken sales at Bach Hoa Xanh supermarkets have grown by 30-50% per year.

According to a representative from CPV Food Company, an increasing number of consumers are choosing domestically produced, clean chicken meat. This type of chicken is produced using a closed-loop system in a bio-secure zone.
The chickens raised are genetically superior, healthy, and grow quickly without the need for hormones. The eggs are disinfected, vaccinated, and automatically incubated to ensure healthy hatchlings. The adult chickens consume high-quality, strictly controlled feed, resulting in delicious, flavorful meat.
In addition, the most modern chicken slaughtering technology and chicken chilling technology (Combine Chill) in Southeast Asia are providing the domestic market with the freshest, highest-quality chicken meat products available today.
