Mr. T. said that at the time of the incident, the male shipper and the Porsche driver were traveling on the same road. At that time, the car was in the correct lane, with the motorbike behind.
Suddenly, the motorbike crashed into the back of the car because the car in front braked without the male shipper noticing. Hearing the crash, the car driver and his family got out of the car to check.
"The family was quite angry in the car because this was a new car they had just bought. As soon as they got out of the car, they demanded 200 million VND from the shipper," said Mr. T.
Hearing that, the male shipper immediately knelt down and begged. The car owner's family also called the authorities to come down and assist and make a record of the incident.
"I heard the car owner say that they could negotiate a reduction in the repair cost for the male shipper. After 45 minutes of handling the matter, they went together to the ward People's Committee headquarters to work," said Mr. T.
The incident was recorded by Mr. T. on his phone and posted on social media. According to Mr. T., he felt sorry for the male shipper, but clearly this person needs to be more careful when operating on the street.
The clip posted on social media attracted hundreds of thousands of interactions. Many people also expressed sympathy for the delivery man, and were also upset about the fact that many shippers drive recklessly and disregard traffic.
"It's a pity, but the most feared people on the street these days are the delivery guys. They drive almost without looking at the road, always keeping their eyes on their phones," wrote TTI account.
"Every time I stop at a red light in front of the shippers, I have to move out of the way to let them run the light or else they will honk loudly," account A. reflected.
From this perspective, account HV believes that poverty cannot be used as an excuse for wrongdoing. "Whether the car owner is rich or not, the shipper must still be responsible for causing an accident. Because money is not easy to earn, everyone feels sorry for their property," this account commented.
