Despite his advanced age, Mr. Le Quang A remains very sharp-minded and regularly participates in Party branch activities.

Learn from Uncle Ho about the pioneering and exemplary qualities of a Party member.

Born in 1924 in the revolutionary homeland of Cam Xuyen, Ha Tinh province , Mr. Le Quang A was an early revolutionary. In 1945, at the age of 21, he directly propagated and disseminated the policies of the Viet Minh Front, while also organizing and training a youth self-defense force. In August 1945, when the Cam Xuyen District Uprising Committee was established, Mr. A was one of five people appointed to participate in the organization. He also led the people of Cam Quan commune in an uprising to seize power. At the end of August 1945, the Provisional Revolutionary People's Committee of Cam Quan commune was established, and Mr. Le Quang A was appointed Chairman.

In March 1946, he had the honor of being admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam . Becoming a party member brought even greater responsibilities; he was assigned to be the Chairman of the Commune Defense Committee, while simultaneously developing the Party organization at the grassroots level and consolidating revolutionary forces.

From 1946 to 1981, Mr. A continuously held many important positions such as: Chairman of the Commune Administrative Committee; Head of the Resettlement Committee; Standing Committee Member of the Tam Quan Commune National Salvation Youth (now Cam Quan Commune); General Secretary of the Cam Xuyen Lien Viet Front; Head of the Research Department of the Ha Tinh Lien Viet Front; Political Officer at the La Giang - Duc Tho dike construction site; Finance and Trade Officer of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee; Standing Committee Member of the Ha Tinh Economic Arbitration Council; Deputy Head of the Finance and Trade Committee of the Ha Tinh Provincial Administrative Committee…

For Mr. Le Quang A, learning from and following the example of President Ho Chi Minh is not about lofty ideals, but rather about concrete, practical daily actions. He shared: “President Ho Chi Minh taught us to be thrifty, honest, and upright. So every morning when we wake up, we must ask ourselves what we have done to be worthy of his teachings. From saving money to ensuring that words are matched by actions.”

Mr. A always believed that a Party member must be a leader, setting an example in all matters, from major to minor. In every position he held, he devoted his heart and talent to serving the Fatherland and the people... While serving as a commander in the commune, Mr. A spearheaded propaganda efforts, mobilizing the people to participate in the resistance, implementing the Party's policies and local movements; he also directly participated in digging tunnels, building embankments, and training militia; even ready to fight if the enemy acted recklessly… When working at the Provincial Party Committee's Finance and Trade Department and the Provincial Economic Arbitration Council, working amidst fierce resistance and material shortages, Mr. A still researched and proposed many policies and guidelines; at the same time, he directly allocated budget resources, implemented revenue and expenditure management, distributed funds and goods, and carried out a series of unexpected tasks appropriate to the actual conditions and situation.

A role model for future generations.

Not only is Mr. Le Quang A an exemplary veteran party member, but he is also a source of inspiration and education for the younger generation.

Since 1981, after many years dedicated to revolutionary work, Mr. Le Quang A returned to his hometown and continued to hold the position of Head of the Supervisory Board of Hong Tien Cooperative; in 1987, he became Deputy Head of the Retirement Board of Cam Quan commune. In 2002, at the age of 78, he officially retired from his positions and returned to being a Party member in the Chi Quan village Party branch. Despite his advanced age, he still maintains a sharp mind, regularly following current events and politics both domestically and internationally through mass media. At the age of 100, he still regularly participates in Party branch meetings, listening, sharing, and reminding the younger generation to follow in the footsteps of their elders.

For him, being a Party member was not just a title, but also a responsibility and an example. He often reminded his children, grandchildren, and the younger generation in the Party branch: "Every Party member must be a role model. That role model must be bright and pure so that the people trust and follow them. To achieve that, we must learn from Uncle Ho and live according to his teachings."

The life story of Mr. Le Quang A – from a 21-year-old youth rising up in rebellion to seize power, to a Party member with over 80 years of Party membership today – is not only a source of pride for his hometown of Cam Xuyen, but also a valuable lesson for future generations. Although no longer directly involved in Party work, he regularly attends Party branch meetings to share valuable experiences, stories about President Ho Chi Minh, and about the arduous days of the struggle for independence. His simple, sincere words have become a powerful motivation, urging young Party members to continuously strive, improve themselves, and contribute to building a more prosperous and beautiful homeland.

Secretary of the Cam Xuyen Commune Party Committee, Nguyen Van Thanh, expressed that the younger generation is deeply grateful for the contributions and dedication of Comrade Le Quang A. With his wealth of experience in revolutionary activities, he hoped that Comrade Le Quang A would continue to pay attention, monitor, and contribute ideas to build a stronger Party and government organization in the future.

Not only was Mr. A a loyal Party member who passed on revolutionary ideals and faith to future generations, but he was also a shining example in educating his children and grandchildren. He had 6 children, 22 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren; among them, over 20 were Party members, including associate professors, doctors, teachers, soldiers, civil servants, workers, and farmers… Whether still working, holding positions, or retired, each of Mr. A's children and grandchildren lived exemplary and disciplined lives, upholding family cultural traditions and taking the lead in participating in community movements.

Mr. Le Quang A embodies the qualities of a loyal Party member, an exemplary citizen, and a responsible father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. With over 80 years of Party membership and 101 years of life, he is a "red flame" spreading revolutionary faith and ideals, inspiring present and future generations to continue building a more prosperous and beautiful homeland.
