Nguyen Hung 'paints' artist portraits with poetry

In the poem about Huy Can, author Nguyen Hung used the names of many works of this talented poet to write: " The sacred fire illuminates the universe / People happily call the earth to bloom with them / The sky brightens every day / The poem of life gives wings to dreams / Every day of life, every day of poetry / The house in the sun, The flagpole rustles in the wind ". Adding a few touches of poet Hoang Nhuan Cam, he also has many interesting verses: " We've been dating for a long time, but you finally came / The smell of burning grass can't stop your feet / The dice of autumn remind everyone not to break their appointment / The first leaves are still green ".

There are portraits whose real life stories are truly heartbreaking, such as the circumstances of the author of Khoang troi - Ho bom Lam Thi My Da, which Nguyen Hung put into poetry in a very realistic and skillful way: " Letting the clouds go to the wind ... who would have thought/ Poetry without years and months has now been forgotten/ Friends can't remember the name/ Mother and child share the same grief for their father ". There are also humorous "strokes" of portraits: " Writing for newspapers on the street doesn't have enough money for a hair transplant/ Selling poems is enough to support poetry " (Van Cong Hung) or " Poetry-literature-painting-translation... indulge in/ Beard not bothered to trim, love is lazy to visit/ Looking at the moon, is it really a full moon/ Leaving the laurel wreath quietly lonely " (Nguyen Quang Thieu). Sometimes the portrait is "taken" from the names of the poets themselves " If that day in Yen Trung, my mother had not given birth to me/The literary world today lacks a spring festival atmosphere " (Ngo Xuan Hoi) or is full of romance and loveliness: " The age of the full moon is long gone/The time of the silent fragrance of January and February is long gone/Who is still in the village of De that day /Still not escaping the long innocent night " (Phan Thi Thanh Nhan)...

According to the President of the Ho Chi Minh City Writers Association, Trinh Bich Ngan: "The collection of 81 literary portraits of poetry sketches clearly shows that Nguyen Hung has a special ability in portraying the portraits of many writers by "assembling" the names of works of poets, writers, literary critics with a thorough understanding of the life and career of writers. With respect, responsibility, admiration combined with intuition, Nguyen Hung has captured the spirit and soul of the character - only flashing in a moment, to do what he wants with words. I believe that Nguyen Hung's poetry sketches are not only saved in the memory of colleagues, literature teachers, students and literature lovers".

On this occasion, poet Nguyen Hung (member of the Vietnam Writers Association) also released the collection "One Hundred Songs of One Word Fate" , introducing 81 songs composed from his poems, among the 110 poems he has had set to music by musicians.
