Because she had to compete in many events in a row, the athletics team's coaching staff had to calculate so that Oanh could distribute her strength to complete the gold medal target in these events, instead of focusing on 1 or 2 events to improve her performance or break the record.

"Athlete Nguyen Thi Oanh has her own strategy. The coaching staff discussed in detail that some events at this SEA Games are arranged consecutively, so she cannot use all her strength to break the record of one event, but not complete the target of another event.

Besides, Nguyen Thi Oanh won the bronze medal at ASIAD, the coaching staff of the athletics team also focuses on raising this target in the Asian playground. We will have a separate plan for Nguyen Thi Oanh to have the best physical condition and drop point at ASIAD held in Hangzhou (in September this year). The achievement will be equal or better, that is the main goal. And at SEA Games 32, Nguyen Thi Oanh competed very well," Mr. Vinh shared.

Mr. Hoang Quoc Vinh also confirmed that athlete Nguyen Thi Oanh is currently receiving attention from sponsors. This will be the motivation for the runner born in 1995 to continue improving her achievements in the future.

The Vietnam Athletics Federation plans to hold a ceremony on May 17 to honor and award Nguyen Thi Oanh and the Vietnamese athletics team for their outstanding achievements at the 32nd SEA Games.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, General Secretary of the Vietnam Athletics Federation, said: "We are planning to hold a ceremony to honor and award the athletes on May 17 at the Hyatt Regency West Hanoi Hotel in Hanoi . At the ceremony, sponsors and businesses will award cash and gifts to the athletes. Including the car that Oanh was awarded."

During the team's competition at the 32nd SEA Games, due to the outstanding achievements of the athletes, including Nguyen Thi Oanh, businesses also decided to give her and the team big rewards. THACO AUTO Group awarded 200 million VND, Li Ning brand awarded 200 million VND, and Vietcontent awarded 100 million VND.

Nguyen Thi Oanh and Nguyen Thi Huyen were each awarded 50 million VND by the President of the Vietnam Athletics Federation. The track and field team won 12 gold medals, including relay events (4 people). Each gold medal was awarded 45 million VND. The relay team received gold medals, 4 athletes each received 45 million VND. The Vietnam Olympic Committee also had an immediate bonus for each Vietnamese athlete who won a gold medal at the Games.

As for Nguyen Thi Oanh, she has also been awarded an apartment worth 700 million VND by a joint venture of investors of the Ever Green Bac Giang Oanh Social Housing Project. This apartment is located near Oanh's family in Nenh town (Viet Yen, Bac Giang). The Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee also awarded an additional 70 million VND.
