On the morning of May 17, the ceremony to celebrate and reward the athletics team at the 32nd SEA Games was held. Here, the Vietnamese athletics team received many valuable awards from the sponsor. In particular, athlete Nguyen Thi Oanh was awarded a Peugeot 2008 GT-Line car by THACO Auto Group, worth 900 million VND plus personal income tax when the athlete received the gift of 82.3 million VND.
As a group, THACO Group awarded the Vietnamese athletics team 200 million VND. This is also the amount that Viet Content and Digital Trading Joint Stock Company (Vietcontent), Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund and Lining Company awarded to the Vietnamese athletics team.
In addition, Hoang Thanh Infrastructure Investment and Development Joint Stock Company and Thai An Hydropower Joint Stock Company awarded 100 and 50 million VND respectively. LDP High-end Product Distribution Company Limited presented 16 genuine watches to team leaders, coaches with excellent achievements and 12 athletes who won gold medals at the 32nd SEA Games.

Receiving the award from the sponsor, athlete Nguyen Thi Oanh shared: "This is truly an extremely valuable and timely award for me. I will use this car most appropriately."
Present at the ceremony, Mr. Hoang Ve Dung, President of the Vietnam Athletics Federation, affirmed that the Vietnamese athletics team can do better than the achievements at the 32nd SEA Games. "We won 12 gold medals, 20 silver medals and 8 bronze medals, but among the silver medals, we can completely turn them into gold if we are really determined and have reasonable tactics," Mr. Dung shared.
Mr. Hoang Ve Dung, President of Vietnam Athletics Federation hopes that coaches and athletes will learn from experience after SEA Games 32.

Mr. Tran Duc Phan, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, stated that the preparation process of the Vietnamese sports delegation cannot be compared to countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, etc., so achieving this achievement is a great effort of the athletes. However, the athletes must try harder, and at the same time, the leaders and coaches of the athletics team need to have appropriate tactics and strategies to "turn silver into gold", bringing home the most prestigious medal at the 19th ASIAD, taking place in Hangzhou (China) next September.
