Nguyen Trong Hoang won his first title after winning the Tien Phong Golf Championship 2025

TPO - Nguyen Trong Hoang became the center of attention at the Trang An Junior Elite tournament when he excellently won the championship with a total score of +1, marking his first title since the resounding victory at the Tien Phong Golf Championship 2025.

Entering the tournament taking place at Trang An Golf & Resort with high expectations from experts, Trong Hoang showed stable performance, intelligent situation handling ability and admirable courage.

Total score of +1 (even par, -3 and +4) after 3 rounds helped Trong Hoang win the championship convincingly. In particular, the second round was especially explosive with 8 birdies, the highest number ever in Trong Hoang's career, considered a turning point that helped him surpass his direct competitors.

Sharing after the victory, Trong Hoang said: "I missed many opportunities in the final, but overall I am very satisfied after 3 rounds, especially round 2 with 8 birdies, the most ever. That is a positive signal for me to be more confident for the upcoming tournaments."

A week ago, Trong Hoang surpassed many famous golfers to win the Tien Phong Golf Championship 2025 for the first time at Thien Duong Golf Course - Legend Valley Country Club. The 15-year-old golfer admitted that this series of successes has given him more confidence as he prepares to join the Vietnamese golf team at the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand: "These victories give me a lot of motivation. I will try to maintain my best form at the upcoming SEA Games."

In addition to Trong Hoang’s championship, this year’s Trang An Junior Elite tournament also saw the brilliance of many promising faces in different age groups. In the U18 group, Tran Viet An won the championship, while Nguyen Khanh Linh and Nguyen Quang Za Vinh finished second and third, respectively.

In the U15 group, Nguyen Bao Phat excellently took the lead, followed by Nguyen Duc Huy and Nguyen Quang Dai. Young talent Bui Quang Duc Minh took the throne in the U13 group, surpassing Pham Minh Hai and Le Nhat Binh. In the U11 group, Nguyen Nhat Minh was the most impressive player, followed by Nguyen Vu Phuc Anh and Bui Ngoc Dang Minh.

From 2022 to 2025, Nguyen Trong Hoang's journey is a series of steady and impressive steps. In 2022, Hoang won the SINGHA Thailand Junior World Golf Championship and Palm Resort Junior Open in Malaysia.
