Mrs. Ha's family in the movie.
Mrs. Ha (Ngan Quynh) is a single mother, having gone through many hardships to raise her three children: Phuc (Tim), Loc (Nguyen Quoc Truong Thinh) and An (Ha Me Tien). Her difficult life in the past with many sufferings and sacrifices for her children has made Mrs. Ha somewhat strict and autocratic. She interferes in all her children's problems, even when they already have their own families.
Furthermore, Mrs. Ha always values her son more than her daughter and believes that money decides everything. Therefore, she devotes all her love to her eldest son, Phuc. Living under the protection of his mother, Phuc is weak, gullible, and often deceived, with debts piling up. All the economic burden of the family therefore falls on the shoulders of Hang (Huynh Hong Loan) - Phuc's wife and the youngest sister, An.
Hang is the eldest daughter-in-law, gentle in nature, often under pressure from her mother-in-law because Mrs. Ha does not like Hang's poor background. However, with the second daughter-in-law, Trang (Quynh Laze), Loc's wife, because of her rich background, Mrs. Ha is biased. In particular, Mrs. Ha also discriminates against Phuc - Hang's child, My (Tang Gia Han) and Loc - Trang's child, Khang (Bao Tan). Mrs. Ha has a lot of love for Khang but always imposes many inappropriate things on her granddaughter because she thinks that her daughter does not need to study much, so she should go abroad to work early to earn money.
In their own home, Hang, An and My are all suffering a lot of pain. Phuc and Loc, who often cause trouble, are always covered up by Mrs. Ha, until Mrs. Ha suddenly faints and is hospitalized...
“Mrs. Ha’s House is So Happy!” is a family drama, reflecting the consequences of Mrs. Ha’s ideology of “male superiority and female inferiority”. The mistakes and blind bias in educating her children and grandchildren caused Mrs. Ha’s family to fall into a serious crisis. Phuc and Loc, despite their old age, are still carefree and heartless, living dependently on others. Loc lives with his wife’s family, while Phuc “depends” on his wife and sister. Therefore, when problems arise in the family, they do not know how to cope, and even have to ask their wife and sister for help. The film reflects the reality that when people live in a state of overprotection and indulgence, they easily become complacent, taking the best things for themselves for granted and gradually losing their life skills.
“Mrs. Ha’s house is so happy!” also brings many messages about life through the struggle of a group of women who are under a lot of pressure in family life today. Hang, An and My all endured for their loved ones, but also protested against injustice. They endured for the love of their family, and at the same time, gradually made family members realize their mistakes, learn to understand and share responsibilities to overcome difficult stages of life together...
