| Forming reading habits with the young generation |
Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day continues to affirm the position, role and importance of books in improving knowledge, skills, developing thinking, educating and training human personality. Thereby, encouraging and developing the reading movement, creating a favorable reading environment, building reading habits in families, schools, agencies, organizations and communities; honoring readers, creators, publishers, printers, distributors, libraries, book keepers, collectors, promoters and organizations and individuals who have contributed to developing a reading culture in the community, contributing to building a system of cultural values and standards for Vietnamese people.

In particular, in the discussion program, exchanging with famous authors, writers and poets, children will meet and exchange with Poet Tran Dang Khoa - Vice President of the Vietnam Writers Association , Editor-in-Chief of Writers and Life Magazine on the topic of Looking back at literature about the resistance war against the US to save the country after 50 years of liberating the South and unifying the country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); listen again to poems composed by "child prodigy" Tran Dang Khoa during the years of the war against the US that have become familiar to many generations of Vietnamese children.

After the opening ceremony, many exciting activities will take place on April 20 and 21, such as: Giving books to elementary school students in difficult circumstances; awarding prizes for the 2025 Online Book Introduction Contest The Book I Love and the Online Quiz Contest The National Epic Learning about 50 Years of the Central Highlands Campaign and the Great Victory of Spring 1975; Green Library Space - Book Road serving the reading and knowledge-learning needs of children and teenagers; displaying traditional and historical artifacts, especially those typical of Lam Dong province; Bell Ringing Contest to learn about the history of 50 years of Southern Liberation Day, National Reunification Day, Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day, learning about authors and literary works; Painting Contest based on books - My favorite colors; interacting with the group of authors of the book series "Dalat in the writings of children", introducing works by young writers of Da Lat.
In addition, the mobile library vehicle "Light of Knowledge" will serve at the above schools in Da Lat, Lam Ha, Bao Loc, Da Huoai from April to May 15, 2025.
