Deputy Prime Minister: Petrolimex needs to take the lead in green transformation and digital transformation

(Dan Tri) - Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son requested Petrolimex to take the lead in green transformation, digital transformation, improving competitiveness, and reaching out to the region and the world.

At the 5th Congress of the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group ( Petrolimex ) for the 2025-2030 term held today, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son assessed that the petroleum industry is one of the industries directly affected by fluctuations in the international and regional situation in recent times.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested that the group closely follow and well implement the Party's policies and guidelines; the country's socio -economic development strategies and plans in the coming period; and well implement the "four pillars".

In particular, the Government leader requested determination to build Petrolimex into a truly strong state economic group, with sustainable development and high competitiveness not only at the national level but also at the regional and global levels...

The Group is required to proactively advise and propose policy mechanisms to remove difficulties in the petroleum sector, promote investment in technology, digital platforms, AI and big data applications, improve transparency and governance efficiency...

The Deputy Prime Minister also requested the group to actively participate in the transition to green, clean, and sustainable energy, pioneering research and investment in environmentally friendly fuels such as E5, E10 gasoline, biogas, hydrogen, and renewable energy; continue to perfect the organizational structure, while focusing on training and developing high-quality human resources, ensuring income and living standards for workers.

Regarding Party building, the Government leader requested the group to continue to innovate leadership methods, build a clean and strong Party organization associated with building corporate culture; strengthen solidarity, improve discipline, and promote democracy.
