Flood assessment on rivers in Bac Ninh

BAC NINH - According to information from the Bac Ninh Provincial Hydrometeorological Station, due to the influence of storm No. 10, there will be rain during and after the storm in Bac Ninh province. The total rainfall from the afternoon of September 28 to 6:00 a.m. this morning (September 30) in many places in the province is generally from 60.0 - 120.0 mm; especially locally in Cam Dan (Yen Dinh commune) 236.4 mm, Son Dong commune 230.3 mm.

On Luc Nam River and Thuong River, there was a flood with an amplitude of 2-9m. The water level at 6am on September 30 was as follows: On Thuong River at Cau Son Station: 14.83m, above alert level 1; at Phu Lang Thuong Station: 2.96m below alert level 1.

Floods on the Luc Nam River are rising.

Flood on Luc Nam River at Luc Nam Station is 5.08m, below alert level 2; at Cam Dan Station is 44.90m, above alert level 2; at Chu Station is 13.10m, above alert level 3. Cau River at Dap Cau Station, Phuc Loc Thuong Station; Duong River at Ben Ho Station is below alert level 1.

Today (September 30), in Bac Ninh province, it continues to rain in many places but the amount of rain is not large, in the communes in the eastern region of the province there is moderate rain. The total rainfall is forecasted to be from 10-20mm, especially in the communes in the eastern region of the province from 20-40mm.

Regarding floods, from today (September 30) to tomorrow (October 1), the water level forecast of rivers in the province is as follows: On the Luc Nam River in the upper Cam Dan River, the water level is showing a downward trend, forecast at alert level 2, then continuing to decrease.

At Chu Station, Luc Nam Station is rising with the possibility of peaking today and at level from alert 2 to above alert 3.

On Thuong River at Cau Son Station and Phu Lang Thuong, it is forecasted to be above alert level 2. On Cau River and Duong River, it is at alert level 1 to alert level 2.
