Receiving a new racing car, Nguyen Thi That still lost to rival Jutatip

On March 7, the Biwase Tour of Vietnam 2025 international women's cycling tournament officially kicked off with a race around Binh Duong with a total distance of 82 km. All attention was focused on the competition between the reigning Asian champion Jutatip (Thailand) and the reigning runner-up Nguyen Thi That.

At the Asian Cycling Championship held last month in Thailand, Nguyen Thi That and the Vietnamese cycling team unfortunately had their bikes burnt down while on the way from Bangkok to the competition venue. Nguyen Thi That then competed on her old bike sent from Vietnam and she finished second, losing narrowly to the home racer Jutatip.

Before the opening of the Biwase Tour of Vietnam 2025 international women's cycling tournament today, representatives of the Asian Cycling Federation and the organizing committee of the 2025 Asian Cycling Tournament in Thailand handed over a compensation bike to Nguyen Thi That. Despite receiving a new bike, Vietnam's number 1 cyclist still competed with the old bike and she continued to lose to Jutatip in an exciting sprint competition.

The Biwase Tour of Vietnam 2025 international women's cycling tournament was included for the first time in the competition system of the International Cycling Union (UCI), attracting 99 riders from 20 teams (6 Vietnamese teams, 14 international teams). Among them, Nguyen Thi That, wearing the Loc Troi Group Club jersey, is a candidate to compete for the titles. The Biwase Binh Duong team competes with two Russian foreign players, Natalia Frolova and Valeriya Zakharkina.

Tomorrow (March 8), the racers will compete in the second stage with a route of 151 km from Thu Dau Mot City (Binh Duong) to Binh Long ( Binh Phuoc ) and then return to the finish line in Thu Dau Mot City. This is the stage where Nguyen Thi That is determined to get revenge on Jutatip in order to win both the yellow and green jerseys.
