Previously, on November 14, the Vietnam Social Security portal ( https://baohiemxahoi.gov.vn/ ) warned that the contact information on the Google Maps page of the city's Social Security and Social Security of some districts and counties was edited, inserting contact information into numbers not from the Vietnam Social Security sector with high fees.

The portal said that the Vietnam Social Insurance industry currently has only one customer care and consulting hotline number, 1900.9068, with a fee of 1,000 VND/minute (this fee is paid to the network provider providing the hotline service). However, through review, Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance discovered that on Google Maps ( https://www.google.com/maps ) when searching for Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance and Social Insurance of districts, the contact section has been changed to phone numbers in the form of 1900.9966.xx. These numbers have a fee of 8,000 VND/minute.

Through actual inspection on Google Maps, Thanh Nien discovered that by noon on November 16, the addresses of Social Security agencies in Districts 3, 5, Tan Binh, Phu Nhuan, Binh Thanh, Thu Duc City, Nha Be District (HCMC), Di An, Thuan An ( Binh Duong ) all had phone numbers as warned by the Vietnam Social Security information portal.

Users avoid contacting fake numbers to avoid losing phone bills.

It can be determined that the subject intentionally edited the information of social insurance agencies on Google Maps to trick people and units who need to contact to resolve work, consult on social insurance and health insurance policies, receive documents... through fake hotline numbers to collect high phone charges.

Google Maps is a completely free map for users, with data continuously updated from the community, so this service is often the focus of editing by many subjects with the aim of vandalizing and changing the location of famous places such as "moving" Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park to Binh Duong.
