With the theme "Solidarity in Action - Shaping ASEAN Tourism Tomorrow", the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2025 - the largest tourism event in the region takes place in Johor state, Malaysia on January 15-20, 2025 with a series of ASEAN tourism cooperation events.
Within the framework of the Forum, the ASEAN Tourism Awards 2025 Ceremony was held on the evening of January 20 to honor units and localities with high-quality tourism products and services, promoting the sustainable development of tourist destinations in the region. There were 17 representatives from Vietnam honored to be on this list.
In category ASEAN Community Tourism Award - CBT ASEAN , Con Chim community tourism site (Tra Vinh province) is honored to be one of 5 units from Vietnam to receive this award. With a model of nature-friendly and environmental protection, Con Chim is a new community tourism site that still preserves the rustic, simple, and soulful culture of the countryside.
Coming here, visitors will be immersed in the peaceful countryside scenery, learn how the locals here withstand drought and salinity, based on available materials so that visitors can prepare and experience local dishes such as ginseng, leaf cake. In addition, visitors can also participate in folk games such as jumping rope, throwing cans, playing marbles, crab racing...
"Here, the landscape is decorated uniformly with rustic natural materials, the old houses and scenes are preserved, creating a nostalgic area, a memory area of the South, creating an impression for tourists. This is what makes Con Chim successful", Dr. Duong Duc Minh, Deputy Director of the Institute for Economic Development and Tourism Research shared.
In addition, 5 other destinations are also on the list, including Huu Lien community tourism site (Huu Lung district, Lang Son province), Hong Van tourist area (Hanoi), Toom Sara village (Da Nang), and Co Tu Nam Giang community tourism cooperative (Quang Nam).
Prize ASEAN Homestay name the homestay cluster of Tha village (Phuong Do, Ha Giang), the homestay cluster of Yen Thinh commune (Huu Lung, Lang Son), the homestay cluster of Thai Hai ethnic ecological stilt houses (Thai Nguyen), the homestay cluster of Duong Lam ancient village (Hanoi), the homestay cluster of Giong Trom (Binh Dai, Ben Tre).
More than 5 km from the center of Ha Giang city, Tha village is home to ethnic minorities, with 99% of the population being Tay. This place still retains traditional stilt houses amidst beautiful natural landscapes, providing many experiences, leaving a deep impression on visitors.

Being honored at the ASEAN Tourism Awards is also an opportunity for businesses and tourism organizations to market their products, contributing to promoting the Vietnamese tourism brand internationally.

TRAVEX 2025 Travel Fair with the participation of more than 320 buyers from 41 countries from Asia, Europe, America and more than 220 sellers from ASEAN member countries.
