In line with the resolutions and action programs of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, many important plans have been issued and implemented. Thereby, children's work has always received attention and resources from units and localities; children's goals have been basically completed; coordination between levels and sectors in ensuring the implementation of children's rights and obligations has had many positive changes. In the whole province, 100% of children under 6 years old are granted free health insurance cards; 100% of children with congenital heart disease from poor and near-poor households, children under social protection are supported with surgery costs; 100% of children with disabilities are entitled to social protection policies according to regulations; 100% of children who are victims of violence and abuse are supported in many forms; more than 90% of children in special circumstances are cared for in many forms; The rate of children in special circumstances has decreased to less than 0.6%; the rate of communes and wards with independent cultural centers and cultural houses for children to play and entertain has reached over 80%... Child protection work is implemented at all three levels: Prevention, support and intervention to reduce risks, support, recovery and integration for vulnerable children and children in special circumstances.

Along with the State's social security policies, many programs and activities to care for and support children have been effectively implemented by all levels, sectors, agencies and units, creating an impression in the community such as: Scholarship program to go to school with children; connecting with sponsors and international humanitarian organizations to support free screening and surgery for children with congenital heart disease; donating wheelchairs to disabled children; donating learning equipment and playground equipment to schools... In particular, from the attention and practical and timely support of organizations, businesses, organizations and individuals, many creative and meaningful activities have become a bridge of love, lighting up the faith for the less fortunate such as: "Godmother" program; "Foster children of the Union" model; volunteer campaign "Car wash to raise funds - support to go to school" of the youth union in localities in the province. Thereby, it has contributed to creating conditions for children to exercise their rights to develop comprehensively in physical, intellectual, spiritual and moral aspects.

Responding to activities to care for and support children, recently, the Youth Union of Yen My commune organized the program "Car wash to raise funds - Support to go to school" attracting more than 50 union members and young volunteers to participate, raising nearly 15 million VND to give to students in difficult circumstances on the occasion of the new school year, contributing to motivating them to excel in their studies. Comrade Le Thi Ngoc Han, Secretary of the Youth Union of Yen My commune, said: The program not only motivates children in difficult circumstances in the locality to excel in life but also contributes to spreading the spirit of mutual love and solidarity, volunteering for the community among union members, youth and people.

In addition to activities to care for children's material life, activities to care for children's cultural and spiritual life, entertainment, recreation, and life skills education are also of interest to sectors, organizations, and localities. From 2021 to now, all levels and many localities in the province have coordinated to organize more than 500 communication conferences on accident and injury prevention, violence and child abuse prevention; organized competitions to learn about accident and injury prevention at schools; organized first aid and escape drills in case of incidents such as: Fire, drowning, traffic accidents... for students; organized training activities, equipped with life skills for youth through classes: Military semester, life skills experience; renovated and built new swimming pools, libraries, and playgrounds...

Vu Bao Quyen, a student at 14/10 Secondary School, Tien Hai Commune, shared: Through life skills lessons, I learned more knowledge about the necessary skills to prevent drowning and how to handle people who have been electrocuted. This content is very useful, helping us know how to protect ourselves and support those around us when necessary.

Comrade Tran Van Dung, Deputy Director of the Department of Health, said: To improve the quality of child care, education and protection, in the coming term, the Department of Health will continue to coordinate with functional branches and localities to carry out a number of key tasks such as: Promoting propaganda, mobilizing the whole society to participate, support and build the Child Protection Fund; proactively preventing and minimizing risks of harm to children through organizing and implementing child protection models such as: "Safe House", "Safe School", "Safe Community" to help prevent and combat child injuries; maintaining and improving the capacity of service providers, commune-level child protection workers, collaborators; building and developing digital technology platforms to serve the work of consulting, supporting and protecting children...
