Hue City Police advise people to be vigilant when receiving phone calls from strangers.

Specifically, the strangers used the following phone numbers: 0586291097; 0583945381; 0814073108; 0849130115; 0819078726; 0886284501; 0836149554; 0822296690; 0822346178; 0814032589; 0853327415; 0911109884; 0853613907; 0834186052... to call the victims claiming to be officers of the above law enforcement agencies to inform them that they were involved in a case or special case that the police were investigating.

Then, the subjects asked the victims to declare their assets, current cash and deposits in bank accounts with the purpose of carrying out the appropriation.

Hue City Police advise people to be vigilant when receiving phone calls from strangers claiming to be officials of state agencies to notify and request investigation of cases over the phone.

People should absolutely not provide personal information, phone number, ID card number (citizen identification), home address, bank account number, OTP code on personal phone... to anyone they do not know or do not know clearly about their identity and background to avoid being scammed.

According to Hue City Police, the situation of criminals using high technology to commit fraud and property appropriation is increasing and becoming more complicated; with many sophisticated methods and tricks of crime.
