Hue City Police advise citizens to be vigilant when receiving phone calls from strangers.

Specifically, unknown individuals used phone numbers such as: 0586291097; 0583945381; 0814073108; 0849130115; 0819078726; 0886284501; 0836149554; 0822296690; 0822346178; 0814032589; 0853327415; 0911109884; 0853613907; 0834186052… to call victims, posing as officers from law enforcement agencies to inform them that they were involved in a case or investigation being conducted by the police.

Subsequently, the perpetrators requested the victims to declare their assets, the amount of cash they possessed, and the amount of money deposited in their bank accounts, with the intention of stealing it.

Hue City Police advise citizens to be vigilant when receiving phone calls from strangers claiming to be officials from state agencies, informing them or requesting investigations into cases over the phone.

People should absolutely not provide personal information, phone numbers, ID card numbers, home addresses, bank account numbers, OTP codes on their personal phones, etc., to anyone they don't know or whose identity and background they don't fully understand, to avoid being scammed.

According to the Hue City Police, the situation regarding crimes involving the use of high technology to commit fraud and misappropriation of property is increasingly prevalent and complex, with many sophisticated methods and tactics.
