QNgTV - The Ministry of Construction has just issued Decision No. 660 on the announcement of administrative procedures that have been amended, supplemented, and abolished in the field of vehicle inspection under the Ministry's management.

According to Decision 660, the procedures for reissuing Certificates of Technical Safety and Environmental Protection Quality for imported motor vehicles; and reissuing Notices of Exemption from Technical Safety and Environmental Protection Quality Inspection for imported components will be carried out by the Road and Rail Vehicle Registration Center under the Vietnam Registering Agency, instead of the Vietnam Registering Agency as before.

The Ministry of Construction also abolished several previous administrative procedures implemented by the Vietnam Register, including the procedures for issuing, renewing, and reissuing Certificates for automobile warranty and maintenance facilities subject to the management of Decree 116/2017/ND-CP.

For the procedure of reissuing the Certificate of Technical Safety and Environmental Protection for imported motor vehicles in case of loss, damage, or expiration, the importer submits the application to the Center for Vehicle Registration and Inspection of Road and Rail Transport via the National Single Window Portal online; in case of force majeure, a paper application may be submitted. If the certificate is lost, the competent authority will issue a copy; if the certificate is damaged, an original will be issued.
