On September 8th, the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission announced that, at its 36th meeting, it had concluded on several issues related to suspected violations by Party organizations such as the Party Committee of the Department of Education and Training, the Party Committee of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Party Committee of the Department of Finance, the Party Branch of the Department of Information and Communications, and related Party members.
In conclusion, the aforementioned Party organizations have not effectively implemented their working regulations; the effectiveness of self-inspection and inspection and supervision has been low. This has resulted in the failure to promptly detect shortcomings and violations by cadres and Party members in implementing regulations related to the management and use of funds and capital construction investment, procurement in projects, and information technology application software in the province.
The Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission has requested a serious review and thorough lessons learned from four Party organizations and eight Party members. At the same time, it has requested that these Party organizations focus on rectifying the identified violations and shortcomings.
The Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee has decided to discipline Mr. Vo Nhu Minh Quang, Head of the Social Policy Department and former Head of the Planning and Finance Department of the Gia Lai Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, with a reprimand.
This report proposes that the competent authorities consider and decide on disciplinary action against Ms. Tran Thi Hoai Thanh, former Provincial Party Committee member, former Party Secretary, and former Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Gia Lai province, and Ms. Rcom Sa Duyen, Provincial Party Committee member, Party Secretary, and Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Gia Lai province.
Implement disciplinary procedures and recommend disciplinary action against the following individuals by the competent authority: Mr. Nguyen Tu Son, former Provincial Party Committee member and former Director of the Gia Lai Department of Education and Training; and Mr. Truong Quy Suu, former Head of the Planning and Finance Department of the Gia Lai Department of Education and Training.
The Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission also reviewed the inspection results and issued a notice regarding the case of Mr. Ho Van Diem, Member of the Standing Committee of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Group, and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lai Province. Accordingly, Mr. Ho Van Diem failed to adequately supervise and did not detect the misappropriation of funds received for COVID-19 prevention and control by the agency's accountant for personal use. The Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission has reported the matter and requested the competent authorities to consider and make a decision.
Regarding the aforementioned violations, the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission continues to examine the responsibilities of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lai province and Ms. Dinh Thi Giang, Standing Member of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Ethnic Affairs Committee of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Council, former Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and former Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lai province.
