Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry also opened two new majors this year: microchip design and digital marketing. Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry plans to enroll 8,000 students.

Regarding the expected enrollment plan from 2025, a representative of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry said that the school will still use high school graduation exam results for admission, but may consider adjusting the admission combinations.

Many universities have also announced their admission methods and majors, in which schools still maintain stable admission methods.

For example, the University of Transport. This year, the University of Transport will enroll students in 4 ways with more than 6,000 targets.

Accordingly, for method 1, the University of Transport will consider admission based on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam and students who have won national and international prizes.

Use the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam for admission. The admission score is the total score of the 3 subjects of the registered admission combination and priority points (if any).

Direct admission of students who have won national and international prizes. Specifically, candidates who have won first, second and third prizes in national and international competitions for excellent students or national and international science and technology competitions organized and sent by the Ministry of Education and Training ; the time of winning the prize is not more than 3 years from the time of direct admission and have graduated from high school will be considered for direct admission to the school according to the major appropriate to the exam subject.

Method 2: Admission and training in Hanoi (code GHA): Using high school academic results (according to high school transcripts) for admission to most majors, high school graduates have a total score of three subjects in the admission combination (grade 10 average score plus grade 11 average score plus grade 12 average score) plus priority points (if any) from the threshold score for submitting application for admission or higher (the threshold score for submitting application for admission to each major will be announced in detail later), in which the scores of three subjects in the admission combination do not have an average score of any subject below 5.50 points.

For candidates using the admission combination with English subject, they can use IELTS certificate from 5.0 or higher (valid until the admission date) instead of English subject report card score and converted according to school regulations.

Admission and training at Ho Chi Minh City Branch (code GSA): Using high school academic results for admission for most majors.

Candidates graduating from high school with a total score of three subjects in the admission combination (average score of grade 10 plus average score of grade 11 plus average score of semester 1 of grade 12) plus priority points (if any) from the threshold score to submit application for admission or higher (the threshold score to submit application for admission to each major will be announced in detail later), in which the three subjects in the admission combination do not have an average score of any subject below 5.50 points.

Method 3: Admission based on the thinking assessment results of Hanoi University of Science and Technology for some majors recruited and trained in Hanoi and admission based on the capacity assessment results of Ho Chi Minh City National University for some majors recruited and trained at Ho Chi Minh City Branch.

Method 4: Consider a combination of IELTS English certificate from 5.0 or higher (valid until the admission date) and the total score of two subjects (Math and 01 subject other than Foreign Language) in the admission combination (average score of grade 10 plus average score of grade 11 plus average score of grade 12) plus priority points (if any) reaching from 15.00 points or higher, applicable to some majors of enrollment and training in Hanoi.

The threshold score for submitting application for admission to each major will be announced in detail later. When calculating the total admission score, use the conversion score from the IELTS certificate according to the school's regulations.

In 2024, the enrollment target for mass and high-quality programs of the University of Transport is 6,000 (in Hanoi: 4,500, at Ho Chi Minh City Branch: 1,500). Enrollment target for international joint programs: 90.
