Case of "temporary road encroaching on river": Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee directs inspection

Regarding the case of "A temporary road encroaching on Quan Truong River in Nha Trang", Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Tran Quoc Nam directed to urgently inspect and report the results to the Provincial People's Committee on July 17.

On July 15, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province issued a document requesting an inspection of the investor's construction of a temporary bridge on Quan Truong river to construct the mixed-use urban area of ​​Nha Trang city.

Specifically, at the construction site, the investor is currently implementing the connection and construction of a temporary bridge to serve the groundbreaking and construction of the Nha Trang City Mixed Urban Area project, in order to soon deploy the project, ensuring the project's groundbreaking progress on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day.

Accordingly, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Tran Quoc Nam assigned the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the People's Committee of Nam Nha Trang Ward and relevant units to urgently inspect the construction status of the investor to promptly handle arising issues according to assigned functions, tasks and scope of management, strictly handle violations (if any); synthesize and report the results to the Provincial People's Committee on July 17.

Previously, as SGGP Newspaper reported, in the Quan Truong River area (section through Nam Nha Trang ward), a section of road railing was dismantled; soil and rock were dumped and leveled towards the riverbed, forming a temporary bridge/road. Some local residents said that this temporary road had appeared for many days, however, there was no public information about the project or investor in the area. By the afternoon of July 14, a leader of the Khanh Hoa Province Department of Construction said that he had directed the temporary suspension of leveling the above riverbed area.
