The gathering of the people of Xu Nau
Xu Nau is the general term for the land of Binh Dinh and Phu Yen . And coincidentally, the reunion in episode 175 brings together the children of Xu Nau, from those who are searching, those who are lost, and those who are adopted.
The people of Xu Nau are eagerly waiting, eagerly returning, eagerly loving.
The reunion in episode 175 of As if there had never been a separation, with the theme of the people of the land of Nau, seems to lack a bit of the warmth of the previous episodes.
A few days later, everyone burst into happiness, the joy seemed to multiply, in a second reunion in real life. After DNA testing, they were 100% sure they shared the same blood.
The audience watching this program was moved by the joy with Mr. Hoang, saying: "So happy, he smiled so brightly."
I'm sorry son.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hoang (current name Nguyen Phi Cuong) was born in 1970 and lost his family at the end of March 1975 during a war.
He was found by Nhu Nhat Cuoc Diep after receiving a letter asking for help from the family of Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa (also known as Sau Qua).

The story of Mr. Hoang begins to be told. On March 31, 1975, when the war was raging, Mr. Hoa, a former Republic soldier in Binh Dinh, hired a motorbike taxi to take his wife and five children to the South to escape. Unfortunately, on the way, Hoang got lost.
At that time, he let his wife and children go on, while he stayed behind to look for Hoang. After 15 days of searching everywhere without success, he had to return home, where his wife and four young children were waiting.
Mr. Nguyen Van Canh, Hoang's stepbrother, recalled: "I still remember when he got lost, his father went looking for him, only his mother was the leader. The old woman hugged her children and cried all the time. The children were hungry but had no money, so his mother went begging for food and hitchhiking."
And Nguyen Thi Cuc, the eldest daughter, said: "While she was sick, my mother still talked about Hoang. When she watched TV and saw reunions, she still hoped that Hoang was still alive and that it would be our family's turn."
But then she couldn't wait any longer. During the COVID-19 outbreak, she fell ill and died, taking with her the hope of seeing her child again.
The hope of finding her child was like a flickering oil lamp that gradually dimmed as many difficulties befell the family.
After liberation, Mr. Hoa's family packed up and returned to their hometown. At that time, their youngest daughter was only 6 months old and seriously ill, so they sold their house to save her. Then they had five more children. His wife had heart disease, so he saved more than a hundred million to replace her two heart valves.
She was bedridden for ten years and he took care of her single-handedly.
In 1997, Mr. Hoa's family left their hometown to start a business in Ea H'Leo, Dak Lak . The children's lives gradually stabilized. The search for Hoang continued from father to son.
Mr. Nguyen Van Xuan, Hoang's brother, choked up and said: "If my parents can't find me, I will. I have to do it, I won't feel guilty. I feel sorry for her. I want to find her, that's one thing. But she wants to find her family and her origins 100 times more than I do. I'm from Binh Dinh, I say what I think."
Hoang's father emotionally expressed: "Having one of five fingers cut off is truly painful. No parent can let go of their conscience. But because I don't have the means to look for my child and don't know how to look for him, I accept my weakness and don't have the courage to look for my child."
During their first reunion on stage, the father also apologized to his son. He explained to his son: "I didn't look for you because I didn't have the means, I had too much family, too many siblings, and my mother was sick."
The organizers took Mr. Hoang's hair for DNA testing.
Three times adopted
Lost from his family at the age of 5, Hoang had a new name, Nguyen Phi Cuong, and changed families three times.
His first foster mother was Ms. Doan Thi Khanh, who was in the same car with him on the day he got lost.
Mrs. Khanh has three daughters. After adopting Hoang for a year, she became pregnant and gave birth to a son.
Life was difficult, she could not raise four children so Mrs. Khanh's parents took Hoang to live with them, still considering Hoang as their grandchild.
Hoang followed his grandparents home when he was young and became the main breadwinner in the family.
Hoang's life, he said: "I don't think about tomorrow, I'll take it as it comes", making not only his brothers and sisters shed tears but also the audience feel sympathy.
When he was 16, Mr. Hung's family came to claim Hoang as their lost son. Hoang came to live with their family.
Nguyen Thi Kim Anh, Hoang's adoptive sister, recounted: "My mother met Hoang, lifted his ear to see and happily said she had found her son."
Mr. Hoang plays the guitar to relieve his sadness.
Now knowing that Hoang is not her biological brother, she is still sincere: "He is still a younger brother in the family, there is no need to differentiate."
Perhaps, Hoang's doubt came from this mistake. On the other hand, in his memory, he had two older sisters. But Mr. Hoa's family said he had one older sister and one younger sister. This made him doubtful.
From this doubt, a second reunion took place with his father and 9 remaining siblings in his hometown of Binh Dinh, on the day his mother's mourning ended.
From now on, her spirit will rest in peace. The reunion has helped the health of her 90-year-old father and Mr. Hoang improve.
