The 4-day National Day holiday on September 2nd saw a significant increase in rail travel. The Corporation has also increased the number of trains to meet the increased travel demand of the people. The number of tickets sold compared to the same period last year increased by over 10%. Reports from member companies show that 130,000 tickets were sold nationwide.
Many passengers traveling by train on this occasion were surprised to see the train cars decorated in red and yellow. Passenger Hung in Hanoi said that after many years, he had used the train as a means of transportation again. "On this occasion, the trains are also wearing the colors of the national flag.
