The Silent Workers Keeping the National Golf Championship Safe

This national tournament is not only a gathering place for excellent golfers but also an opportunity for local logistics, security and medical forces to affirm their bravery, responsibility and tireless dedication.

From the very first days of the tournament, the Gia Lai Provincial Police force was mobilized to ensure absolute security, order and safety for the entire event. Lieutenant Nguyen Nhat Duy (27 years old), Fire Fighting and Rescue Team No. 3, under the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Gia Lai Provincial Police, is one of the people on duty every day, ready to handle any emergency situation.

“This is a source of pride, but also a great responsibility that we have been assigned,” said Lieutenant Duy.

According to Lieutenant Duy, his unit has arranged 7 officers and soldiers to be on duty at the scene, carrying out tasks according to the plan in coordination with the tournament's Organizing Committee.

“Although this is not the first time the unit has participated in ensuring safety for a major event in the province, with the highest sense of responsibility, we are always proactive and careful in every small detail,” Lieutenant Duy added.

Talking to reporters, Corporal Nguyen Tam Thanh (25 years old), from the Mobile Police Force of Gia Lai Provincial Police, also expressed his pride at being part of the force protecting the province's major sporting event.

From early morning to late afternoon every day, he and his teammates always maintain their positions, observe to promptly detect incidents, participate in support, and maintain security and order for hundreds of participants.

According to Mr. Thanh, security work at the tournament has been well ensured so far, with no incidents or problems occurring. “With a sense of responsibility, we always try our best to fulfill our assigned responsibilities,” he said.

Another force that is equally important to the success of the tournament is the medical team.

Today, Dr. Mai Van Nguyen (28 years old), working at the Department of General Surgery and Anesthesia and Resuscitation of Tuy Phuoc Medical Center, along with 2 other members, were assigned to support the tournament.

Doctor Nguyen said that the work is carried out according to the plan of the Organizing Committee, from 8am to 3pm, but it can be extended depending on the situation. The medical team is always at the highest state of readiness to handle any arising situations related to the health of athletes and participants.

According to Dr. Nguyen, another team on duty the day before received an athlete who had a problem during the competition, however, overall, the tournament was safe and stable, with no recorded cases affecting health.

With experience participating in major events such as Amazing Binh Dinh Fest 2024 or provincial sports competitions, Dr. Nguyen has demonstrated solid professional capacity while always maintaining a spirit of dedicated service.

“Participating in providing medical support for a national tournament is a valuable opportunity for us to demonstrate our sense of responsibility and capacity. At the same time, we also contribute to the overall success of the tournament,” Dr. Nguyen shared.
