Chairman of the Board of Directors Nguyen Canh Tinh directly inspected, urged and directed at Nghe Tinh Port.

On August 24, Chairman of VIMC Board of Directors Nguyen Canh Tinh was present at Nghe Tinh Port to inspect, urge and direct storm prevention work. The Chairman requested member units to closely follow the storm developments, promptly inform fleets and seaports; ensure absolute safety for workers, vehicles and goods. Nghe Tinh Port - the unit directly affected by storm Kajiki - was required to develop a detailed response scenario, strictly implement the "4 on-site" motto and regularly report to the PCTT&TKCN Command Board of the Corporation for timely direction.

For the maritime transport sector, Vietnam National Shipping Lines has directed ship management enterprises to closely monitor forecast bulletins, coordinate with the Maritime Port Authority and pilots to proactively evacuate ships to safe anchorages; strengthen the work of on-duty, check cargo lashing and strictly implement storm prevention procedures. Seaports and maritime service enterprises in the Central region deploy 24/7 on-duty, urgently reinforce equipment, lower containers, fix shore cranes, clear the flow and have plans to prevent flooding in warehouses and factories.

In the face of the high risk of natural disasters caused by Typhoon Kajiki, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh personally inspected and directed the response work at Cua Lo Port and Nghi Quang anchorage area (Nghe An), emphasizing the goal of putting people's lives first and foremost; absolutely not allowing ships to go out to sea, resolutely evacuating people to safe places. This is a consistent direction for ministries, branches, localities and enterprises, including VIMC, to resolutely, synchronously and effectively deploy storm prevention solutions.

With the close direction of the Government and the high determination of the Corporation's leaders, VIMC and its member enterprises in the Central region are making maximum efforts to ensure the safety of people, vehicles, goods and seaport infrastructure, minimizing the damage caused by storm Kajiki, contributing to maintaining production and business activities and stabilizing people's lives after the storm.
