The conference aims to clearly assess limitations and achievements, draw lessons, and thereby propose effective solutions for the next crop.

Many new features in consume

In 2025, Bac Ninh province will continue to affirm its position as the largest lychee producing region in the country with 29.7 thousand hectares, including 8 thousand hectares of early-ripening lychee and 21.7 thousand hectares of main-season lychee. The production area according to VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards will both increase.

Lychee output was over 205 thousand tons, a sharp increase compared to last year. In the last crop, Bac Ninh lychees were exported to demanding markets such as Europe and the United States; sold in large supermarket chains such as Safeway, Costco, Selgros, Rungis Market, etc.

Comrade Lam Thi Huong Thanh awarded Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee Chairman to individuals with outstanding achievements.

In addition, trade promotion activities were implemented synchronously, with many innovations and creativity, achieving remarkable results. The province successfully organized a conference to promote the consumption of lychee and key agricultural products with the participation of ministries, branches, enterprises and large distribution corporations.

In 2025, for the first time, provincial leaders directly participated in livestreaming to promote and sell lychees on digital platforms, combined with opening online booths on major e-commerce platforms and modern distribution systems, creating a strong ripple effect. The province organized the program "Bac Ninh Lychee Week" in Hanoi and industrial parks in the province; implemented the program "Bac Ninh Lychee - Vietnamese agricultural products reaching out to the world " in a number of countries. Lychee promotion activities were organized at many famous domestic tourist destinations such as: Nha Trang, Da Nang, Quy Nhon, Ho Chi Minh City, combined with introducing OCOP products and experiential tourism.

Trade promotion activities and consumption connections with many diverse and creative forms have contributed to affirming the brand, enhancing the value and expanding the consumption market for Bac Ninh lychee.

Maintain quality

From the practical production and consumption of lychee in 2025, Bac Ninh province has drawn many lessons. First of all, the synchronous and drastic participation of the entire political system, the close direction of the province and the effective coordination from the central ministries, branches and the business community have created a combined strength, promoting the consumption of lychee.

Strict adherence to the motto “quality is key” has shaped the Bac Ninh lychee brand to stand out in domestic and foreign markets. The province focuses on planning high-quality production areas according to VietGAP, GlobalGAP, and organic standards; promoting the application of science and technology, digital transformation in agriculture, digitizing production processes, tracing origins, and post-harvest preservation technology to enhance product value.

Individuals were awarded by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

In the context of many market challenges, the province has proactively forecasted, analyzed the market, implemented consumption promotion from the beginning of the season, shifted from promotion to actual distribution, strengthened connections with localities with border gates such as Guangxi, Yunnan (China) to promote exports. At the same time, diversifying the market, combining traditional and online methods, promoting on social networks and major e-commerce platforms such as Voso, Postmart, Lazada, Amazon..., inviting celebrities to participate in livestream sales.

A creative highlight is linking lychee consumption with tourism development, through programs to experience the ripe lychee season, fashion shows honoring lychee and promoting products at famous tourist destinations, contributing to spreading the value of Vietnamese agricultural products to the world.

Promote processing and export

At the conference, many delegates discussed solutions for safe lychee production; production linkage; promoting agricultural product consumption on social networking platforms; expanding the domestic market, exporting to demanding markets; processing lychee for export...

Comrade Pham Van Thinh spoke.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Pham Van Thinh pointed out a number of shortcomings in the 2025 lychee crop. Accordingly, post-harvest processing and preservation still have many limitations; official export activities are not commensurate with the potential, still dependent on a number of traditional markets; the capacity to access, negotiate and sign contracts of enterprises and cooperatives in the province is still weak; the application of science, technology and advanced technology in deep processing and preservation has not received due attention. To overcome these limitations, it is necessary to have fundamental, drastic and synchronous solutions in 2026 and the following years.

He emphasized that from now until the 2026 lychee crop, there is a lot of work to be done. Regarding production, not only must the process be followed correctly, but the areas that follow the process must be made public from today. Propaganda must be conducted once a quarter, customers must be able to see it on the Internet, then go to the field; encourage pre-purchase orders; have a list and then make it into a floor. It is possible to organize customer conferences right from when the lychees are still small. He assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment and the Department of Industry and Trade to coordinate in implementing this task.

Regarding traceability, it is recommended that the Department of Science and Technology urgently implement and pilot technology to manage each lychee tree at 1-2 cooperatives this year.

Continue to tighten the use of pesticides. Encourage local beekeeping, instruct people to use biological products in production. Vote for beautiful lychee gardens in each village starting from 2026. To increase value, it is necessary to pay attention to product processing, it is necessary to build at least 1 large-scale electric drying facility, cold drying combined with heat drying with a capacity of more than 2 tons/batch for testing and then expanding. In the long term, it is necessary to form an industrial park, an industrial cluster serving the processing of agricultural and forestry products, the production of organic fertilizers, agricultural tools, and agricultural production machinery in Luc Ngan district (old).

Strengthen the capacity of packaging facilities, especially in terms of area. Create favorable conditions for facility owners in terms of land. Packaging designs need to be more diverse.

Comrade Pham Van Thinh noted that in terms of consumption, localities and businesses need to pay attention to expanding international markets including the United States, Europe, Japan, and Australia. The demand in these markets is very large. Establish clubs to sell agricultural products through e-commerce channels. Promote tourism models in lychee production areas.

The collectives were awarded by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Traffic during lychee season needs to be smoother, the Provincial Police need to proactively have specific plans. He assigned the Department of Construction to survey and advise the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to issue a document recommending to the Ministry of Construction to invest in expanding National Highway 31 from Chu Ward to Luc Ngan Commune. This is very necessary, not only to facilitate lychee consumption but also to contribute to local economic development. Advise on adjusting construction planning to develop production and business establishments for lychee consumption.

At the conference, 13 collectives and 33 individuals with outstanding achievements in supporting people to consume lychee in 2025 were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee Chairman.
