Protecting the development of children is one of the basic principles of international law on children's rights. Children are not only the present's large population but also the human resources of the future. Therefore, issues related to children's right to development are one of the main concerns of international law as well as Vietnamese law.
Children's rights are human rights applied specifically to children, at each different age, children enjoy different rights and shoulder different obligations. The consideration of regulations and implementation of children's rights must come from the perspective of children, so children's rights are the privileges that children enjoy according to the provisions of the law with children being the buds, the future of the country today, the work of protecting and caring for children has achieved many positive results in which children are guaranteed rights such as the right to life, the right to protection of life, ensuring the best living conditions and development. Photo Collection[/caption] The right to birth registration and nationality Children have the right to birth registration, death registration, full name, nationality, father, mother, ethnicity and gender as prescribed by law, to receive the best health care, priority access and use of disease prevention and medical examination and treatment services. Along with the rights to be cared for and nurtured for comprehensive development, to be educated , to study and develop talents: Children have equal opportunities to study and be educated ; to develop comprehensively in terms of talent, ability, creativity, invention, to have fun and entertainment: They have equal opportunities to participate in cultural, artistic, physical education, sports and tourism activities appropriate to their age. The right to preserve and promote their identity, to respect their own characteristics and values appropriate to their age and national culture; Children have the right to use their own language and writing, to preserve their identity, to promote the cultural traditions, customs and good practices of their people. Children have the right to follow or not to follow any religion and must be guaranteed safety, in the best interests of the child, and have the right to own, inherit and have other rights to property as prescribed by law. Children have the inviolable right to privacy, personal secrets and family secrets for the benefit of the child, and have their honor, dignity, reputation, confidentiality of correspondence, telephone, telegram and other forms of information exchange protected by law. The right to live with parents, except in cases of separation from parents as prescribed by law or for the benefit of the child, to reunite, contact and have contact with parents: The right to know biological parents, except in cases affecting the interests of the child, the right to alternative care, adoption, the right to be protected from sexual abuse. The right to be protected in litigation and handling of administrative violations; ensuring the right to defense and self-defense, protection of legitimate rights and interests; receiving legal aid, expressing opinions, and not being deprived of liberty illegally; not be tortured, persecuted, humiliated, insulted to honor, dignity, violated physically, caused psychological pressure and other forms of abuse, be protected when facing natural disasters, catastrophes, environmental pollution, armed conflicts: Priority is given to protection and assistance in all forms to escape the impact of natural disasters, catastrophes, environmental pollution, armed conflicts, to access information and participate in social activities. Children have the right to access complete, timely and appropriate information; have the right to seek and receive information in all forms according to the provisions of law and to participate in social activities appropriate to their age, maturity, needs and capacity, to express opinions and hold meetings, to enjoy all rights of children and those with disabilities according to the provisions of law; receive special support for rehabilitation, social integration, protection and humanitarian assistance, and the search for fathers, mothers and families in accordance with the provisions of Vietnamese law and international treaties to which Vietnam is a member. Vietnam always has a consistent viewpoint and policy on children's rights. Accordingly, the work of protecting, caring for and educating children for their comprehensive development can be considered one of the key political tasks of Party committees and authorities from the central to local levels.
