Standing on the podium representing more than 1,500 new PhDs, Masters, and Bachelors, karate athlete Nguyen Thanh Duy, a new graduate of the business administration program for sports talents, said this was an honor and a source of pride.
According to Thanh Duy, four years of university are not too long but are enough for new graduates to feel the love and heart from respected teachers, feel the precious friendship from university friends and acquire valuable knowledge to become a solid foundation for the future.
"To have today, I think we should send our deepest gratitude. And the first gratitude would be to the parents who have always been by our side, supporting and encouraging us to choose this school, the people who have always cared for and stood by us when we had difficulties and early failures in life. From the bottom of our hearts, we would like to sincerely thank you and engrave this great favor in our hearts.
The second word of gratitude is our respect to the board of directors and all the teachers of the University of Economics, for all the dedication they have given us. Receiving the dedicated guidance of the teachers has helped us grow up day by day," Thanh Duy said.
Students perform a ritual to show gratitude to their parents at the ceremony.
At the ceremony, Ms. Le Thi Hoang Yen, Deputy Director of the Department of Sports and Physical Training, said that the special talent program for sports talents provides extensive knowledge for athletes, contributing to solving employment for athletes after finishing their competitive careers.
At the same time, it helps provide high-quality human resources with extensive expertise in the fields of sports management, sports business, and sports event communication; after graduation, students have management and foreign language skills and the ability to integrate internationally.
"I hope that the knowledge you learn from the University of Economics will help you apply it to the country's sports industry. The Vietnamese sports industry currently has 44 national sports federations and associations, professional sports clubs..., ready to welcome you to intern and work," said Ms. Yen.
