The Department of Quality Management (Ministry of Education and Training) announced the list of universities and colleges that have completed self-assessment reports and have been recognized as meeting educational quality standards according to domestic and foreign standards.
211 universities and colleges meet domestic education standards
Accordingly, according to data updated to August 31, 200 universities and 11 pedagogical colleges have been assessed and recognized as meeting educational quality standards according to domestic standards. Many of these schools were assessed in the second cycle (V2) after the previous assessment cycle expired.
Most of the schools have evaluation results at the level of 80-85%. A few schools have evaluation results above 90% such as: University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Hanoi National University), University of Agriculture and Forestry (Thai Nguyen University), Dalat Pedagogical College...
The assessment results are calculated based on the average score of 4 areas: strategic quality assurance; system quality assurance; functional quality assurance; and performance results.
The Ministry of Education and Training noted that before the certificate of educational quality accreditation expires, educational institutions need to proactively develop and implement a self-assessment plan, select an educational quality accreditation organization according to regulations to continue to be assessed and recognized as meeting educational quality standards in the next cycle; ensuring that the regulation on the educational quality accreditation cycle for educational institutions and training programs is 5 years.

17 universities meet foreign education standards
Also according to information announced by the Ministry of Education and Training, there are 17 university educational institutions that have been evaluated and recognized as meeting educational quality standards according to foreign standards.

Compared to last year, the number of higher education institutions assessed and recognized as meeting educational quality standards according to domestic and foreign standards has increased. According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, by August 31, 2025, the whole country has 195 higher education institutions meeting domestic educational standards and 11 higher education institutions meeting foreign standards.
