Joining the exciting competitive atmosphere towards the 8th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Education Sector, the Education sector of Ninh Binh province is gradually affirming the spirit of innovation, creativity and determination for comprehensive digital transformation.
Smart classroom model
Tran Nhan Tong Primary School (Dong A, Ninh Binh ) is one of the pioneering units actively implementing the application of information technology (IT) and digital transformation (DCT) in teaching and management.
The school has deployed 2 smart classrooms in grades 2 and 3 with full modern equipment such as interactive boards, projectors, tablets for students, and high-speed internet.
“The teachers selected by the school to teach smart classes all have pedagogical qualifications, solid professional expertise, and the ability to skillfully apply information technology and smart devices in teaching. At the same time, we regularly innovate teaching and learning methods, using open learning methods,” emphasized Ms. Hoang Thanh Binh, principal of Tran Nhan Tong Primary School.
In the smart classroom, each student will have a learning device, a tablet, containing digitized learning content. Teachers can interact with students through a computer or a smart board.
“Through the smart learning device system, students’ answers are synchronized on the board. Thanks to that, teachers will immediately grasp the progress and quality of the answers of the whole class. Teachers can also correct assignments remotely, or proactively select a student’s work, project it on the board to correct it. In the same lesson, teachers can also build a personalized learning path, different for each student,” said Ms. Pham Thi Yen, a teacher at Tran Nhan Tong Primary School.
Or at Tran Bich San Secondary School (Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh), students are now familiar with cross-border teaching sessions connecting with students from other national schools and territories around the world.
“Technology has erased geographical distance. Through cross-border lessons, students are trained the most in English listening and speaking skills, and are confident in communication. Online lessons have created a vibrant learning space where students from different countries can explore new things together, practice communication skills and broaden their understanding of the country's culture,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa, a teacher at Tran Bich San Secondary School.
The smart classroom model is expected to create breakthroughs in education and training, contributing to promoting digital transformation, innovation and improving the quality of basic and comprehensive education.
Promoting comprehensive "digitalization" of all educational fields
At Tran Nhan Tong Primary School, a familiar task for students before starting class is that instead of counting the number of students in the class, they will directly check in by fingerprint or student card at one of the 8 smart attendance machines installed in the school. Information about the number of students in each class will be updated immediately, helping the Board of Directors to effectively manage and monitor students.
“Instead of having the school’s office staff go to each class every day to check the number of students, now the school can know the number of students in just one operation, even when students come to school at what time, their parents will receive a notification right after they check in with their cards or fingerprints. Every day, every week, every month, the number of students can be summarized immediately, and this result will also be automatically synchronized into the Education Quality Monitoring Book, synchronized into the student’s report card” - Ms. Hoang Thanh Binh, principal of Tran Nhan Tong Primary School analyzed.
Similarly, in the past, every time they went to class, teachers at Tran Bich San Secondary School brought a lot of documents, lesson plans, and books. Now, 100% of the school's teachers use electronic lesson plans and digital signatures; teachers' management and teaching activities are mainly done on software. Not only saving paper, ink, and time, the software with many outstanding features has helped teachers teach and manage students more easily and effectively.

Dinh Tuan Trung, class 7A1, Tran Bich San Secondary School, said that when studying lessons with information technology applications, we feel very excited, each lesson becomes more interesting. The vivid and realistic images, videos, and sounds stimulate the interest in learning and creative thinking, making abstract problems easier to understand. Thanks to that, absorbing lessons is easier.
Ms. Hoang Thi Minh Nguyet, principal of Tran Bich San Secondary School, affirmed that the application of information technology solutions helps the school gradually build a smart school to serve the innovation of teaching methods, testing, evaluation, and student management. Thanks to the application of information technology, management and teaching are carried out more scientifically and systematically, thereby improving the effectiveness of education.
With proactive, creative and synchronous steps in the digital transformation process, Ninh Binh Education sector is gradually realizing the goal of building a smart and modern education system, creating a solid foundation for the comprehensive development of future generations.
