Efforts to settle poor households in Ea Kar

Mr. Luc Van Phuong's family is a poor household in village 14, Ea Knop town. For many years, they had to live in a dilapidated house, always afraid of heavy rain and strong winds.

The dream of a solid house became a reality when his family was included in the housing support list from the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Ea Kar district.

After more than 1 month of construction, in mid-April, his family was handed over a spacious Tinh Nghia house with a support amount of 80 million VND from the central budget and the provincial budget.

The Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Ea Knop Town (Ea Kar District) handed over the Gratitude House to Mr. Luc Van Phuong's family in Village 14.

Implementing the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, Ea Knop town has established a steering committee, conducted a review of the actual housing situation of poor and near-poor households in the area, counted households in need of support and made a list of proposals. As the main force, the Ea Knop town police force has actively participated, coordinated with contractors to regularly inspect and supervise the construction process from design specifications, construction, materials to project quality.

In 2025, the entire Ea Kar district will have 374 houses supported to be newly built and repaired under the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses and strive to complete by June 30, 2025.

Vice Chairman of the Ea Knop Town People's Committee Pham Ngoc Nam said that up to now, the town has completed 2 houses approved by the steering committees at all levels. At the same time, after reviewing, the town continues to propose support for the construction of 2 more houses and mobilizes financial contributions to support 1 more house to help poor households with housing difficulties have conditions to settle down. During the implementation process, in cases where there is land but has not been granted land use rights, the town People's Committee has directed land officials and laborers, war invalids and social affairs to propagate and mobilize family members to create conditions and support in resolving administrative procedures.

In Cu Ni commune, in addition to 5 houses approved by the steering committees at all levels, supported with construction costs and 2 proposed houses awaiting approval, the Party Committee and People's Committee of the commune have mobilized cadres, civil servants, public employees, party members, philanthropists and people in the commune to contribute 90 million VND to support the construction of 1 new house and the repair of 1 house for a poor household in the commune.

The family of Mr. Y Yoel Byă in Ea Knop village (Ea Kar district) received support to remove their temporary house from the mobilized and contributed funds of Cu Ni commune.

The family of Mr. Y Yoel Byă in Ea Knop village is a household that has received support to build a house of gratitude from the mobilization of Cu Ni commune. The house, which is about 40 ^m2 wide, is gradually being completed, making his family's dream of settling down come true. Since the day the construction started, Mr. Y Yoel has temporarily put aside his work and joined the construction work.

Standing Vice Chairman of Ea Kar District People's Committee Tran Duc Luong affirmed: Determining this is a program with profound humanistic significance and one of the major political tasks of the locality in 2025, the District Party Committee and District People's Committee actively lead, direct and implement it.

At the same time, the Party Committee and People's Committee of communes and towns are required to commit with the political system and promote the responsibility of leaders to resolutely complete the set progress.

In addition to the budget allocated by the Central and the province, the District People's Committee has used the 5% savings from regular expenditure to allocate to communes and towns to support house repairs for 73 households. For those eligible for support but facing difficulties in land or not having land use right certificates, the communes and towns have mobilized their families and clans to give them land or guided them to complete administrative procedures according to regulations.
