Efforts to successfully organize the 1st Government Party Congress, term 2025-2030

On the morning of October 9, in Hanoi, Comrade Nguyen Hoa Binh, Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the Congress Propaganda Subcommittee chaired a press conference of the Government Party Committee on the preparation and organization of the 1st Government Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

Also attending were Deputy Secretaries of the Government Party Committee, leaders of ministries, branches and central agencies.

Announcing the main contents of the preparation and organization of the Congress, Minister and Head of the Government Office Tran Van Son, Government Spokesperson, said that the first Congress of the Government Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term is the first Congress of the Government Party Committee under the new organizational model, taking place in the context that the entire Party, people and army are striving and determined to successfully complete the socio-economic development goals for 2025 and the 5-year period of 2021-2025; competing to achieve achievements to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Regarding the results of the Party Congresses at all levels under the Government Party Committee, implementing Directive No. 45-CT/TW dated April 14, 2025 of the Politburo on Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, the Government Party Committee has led and directed its subordinate Party Committees to successfully organize Party Congresses at all levels and the Congresses of 51 subordinate Party Committees for the 2025-2030 term, ensuring progress as required.

The first Congress of the Government Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term will be held for 2 days, from October 12 to 13, 2025 at the National Convention Center. The main content of the Congress includes 2 parts:

Summarize and evaluate the results of the 2020-2025 term, review the leadership and direction of the Government Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term; determine the directions, goals, tasks and solutions for the 2025-2030 term.

Discuss and contribute opinions to the draft documents of the Central Committee to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party.

The first Congress of the Government Party Committee, term 2025-2030, has the theme: "Building a clean and strong Government Party Committee; solidarity, exemplary leadership in science, technology, innovation, digital transformation; accelerating breakthroughs, developing the country quickly and sustainably in the era of rising up, prosperity, civilization, prosperity, and happiness".

The motto of the Congress is: "Solidarity, discipline - Democracy, innovation - Breakthrough development - Close to the people".

Attending the Congress were 453 delegates (including 60 ex-officio delegates, 157 officially appointed delegates and 236 elected delegates), representing over 209,000 party members from 2,211 grassroots party organizations in the entire Government Party Committee.

There are expected to be about 120 guest delegates. The Government Party Committee respectfully invites General Secretary To Lam to attend and give a speech at the Congress; key leaders, Politburo members, Secretariat members; leaders and former leaders of the Party and State; former leaders of the Government; leaders of Central Committees and agencies; representatives of affiliated Party Committees...

Regarding the work of drafting documents, the draft documents submitted to the Congress were drafted seriously, methodically, scientifically, intellectually, democratically and in accordance with regulations, including: Political report; Report on reviewing the leadership and direction of the Government Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term; Congress Resolution; Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 1st Government Party Congress.

The draft documents of the Congress were widely consulted within the entire Party and Government; comments were sought from the Central Party Committees and agencies, and Party Committees directly under the Central Committee; and the Politburo's instructions were fully and deeply absorbed at the meeting to comment on the draft documents, personnel plans, and preparations for the Congress.

Regarding the personnel of the Delegation attending the 14th National Congress of the Party, in addition to the delegates who are members of the 13th Party Central Committee currently working and participating in Party activities at the Government Party Committee as ex-officio delegates, the Government Party Committee was assigned by the Politburo 70 official delegates and 12 alternate delegates to attend the 14th National Congress of the Party and will announce the Decision at the Congress.

Regarding the propaganda work for party congresses at all levels leading up to the first Government Party Congress, immediately after its establishment, the Government Party Committee directed its subordinate party committees to lead and direct the promotion of propaganda work on party congresses at all levels leading up to the Government Party Congress and the 14th National Party Congress; directed the issuance of guidelines for propaganda for party congresses at all levels, propagandizing major topics and key contents from now until the 14th National Party Congress, and issuing monthly propaganda guidelines.

The Government Party Committee has directed to step up propaganda to carry out a peak emulation campaign to welcome party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Press agencies of affiliated Party Committees have opened special pages and columns to promote propaganda on the results of Party Congresses at all levels; and are preparing to promote propaganda before, during and after the Government Party Congress.

Regarding logistics, reception, security and safety for the Congress, up to now, this work has been and is being prepared carefully, thoroughly, safely, and in accordance with regulations, ensuring the successful organization of the 1st Government Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

On the occasion of the Congress, the Government Party Committee directed the organization of many important and meaningful activities, including: The Government Party Committee delegation visited the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and commemorated the heroic martyrs before the opening session of the Congress.

Photo exhibition on achievements and results of the 2021-2025 term of affiliated party committees; Exhibition of achievements in science and technology, innovation and digital transformation; Exhibition of achievements in economic, cultural and social development; Other activities on the sidelines serving the Congress.

At the press conference, leaders of ministries and branches also answered questions from journalists regarding important issues that are of great concern to public opinion.
