Efforts to organize well the Exhibition of socio-economic achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day

The National Exhibition Fair Center project, invested by Vietnam Exhibition Fair Center Joint Stock Company (80% owned by Vingroup ), is located in Dong Hoi and Xuan Canh communes (Dong Anh district, Hanoi).

The National Exhibition and Fair Center is a destination for regional and world-class trade events and exhibitions, connecting friends from all over the world, developing the “Expo” economy (following the urban model of Dubai Expo, Frankfurt-Germany, Fiera Milano-Italia, etc.), creating a favorable environment for domestic and foreign enterprises to have the opportunity to exchange, promote and promote trade, and is a favorable basis to promote production, business, and stimulate economic growth for the capital Hanoi.

The project scale is 90ha - ranked in the top 10 in the world in terms of total area as well as exhibition area. The complex includes an indoor exhibition building with the image of the Golden Turtle God with 9 sub-areas with a total area ^of ​​over 130,000m2, 4 outdoor exhibition parks with a total scale of up to 20.6ha, 2 small-scale indoor exhibition halls, a conference-wedding center, a class A office tower, a 5-star hotel expected to be managed by Marriott, and various auxiliary works...

The indoor exhibition is architecturally inspired by the image of the Golden Turtle God in the legend of the construction of Co Loa citadel. The Golden Turtle God is also one of the four sacred animals of Vietnamese culture, appearing frequently in sacred cultural spaces, symbolizing health, fortune and prosperity. In which, the main hall roof symbolizes the head of the Golden Turtle God and the 8 side hall roofs symbolize the feet of the Golden Turtle God. The dome is about 56.26m high, creating the shape of the Golden Turtle God's shell.

The project will become a unique and novel architectural highlight, while also carrying within it the cultural symbol of the nation.

The exhibition hall is circular in shape with 1 main hall, 8 typical exhibition halls outside and 1 central exhibition hall. The outer diameter of the exhibition building is about 360m, the diameter of the central exhibition hall is about 120m.

Typical exhibition booths are fan-shaped, with an exhibition area of ​​about ^9,000m2 , arranged with about 400-450 standard 3x3m booths.

The central exhibition hall has an exhibition area of ​​approximately ^10,500m2 .

The project has 4 outdoor exhibition parks: each area has an area of ​​over 5 hectares surrounding the main exhibition hall, suitable for large-scale outdoor events, exhibitions, festivals, cultural tourism or many activities at the same time. With a total outdoor exhibition space of up to 20.6 hectares, the National Exhibition and Fair Center ranks 2nd in the world and 1st in Asia in terms of outdoor exhibition area.

The outdoor parking area is up to nearly 18 hectares. The permanent exhibition center (blocks A and B) has a total construction area of ^{​​50,900m2} . This will be the place to organize regular exhibition events, smaller scale and has additional functions as a logistics warehouse of the area.

The complex of commercial services, hotels, and high-rise offices is located in the Southeast of the exhibition area and serves as a height highlight for the central area and the entire planning area... In particular, the hotel project is expected to be managed by Marriott.

Regarding construction progress: The National Exhibition Center project started on August 30, 2024. Up to now, the project is in the finalization stage and will be completed in July 2025 as committed.

Specifically: The exterior canvas roof is expected to be completed by June 10, 2025; The exterior glass door is expected to be completed by June 30, 2025; The indoor exhibition area (main exhibition area), the mechanical and electrical system (M&E) and the auxiliary buildings are expected to be completed by July 15, 2025.

With construction completed in July 2025, the National Exhibition Center project is one of the projects inaugurated to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day. This is also the place where the Exhibition of Socio-Economic Achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day takes place. With outstanding functions and super connectivity, the National Exhibition Center, when completed, will become a destination and highlight in terms of architecture and fine arts, capable of organizing international and regional political, economic and cultural events. The project also marks its place as a new symbol of the Capital on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day.

Speaking at the opening of the meeting with ministries, sectors, Hanoi city and units, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized: This project must be a symbol of scale, culture, architecture, structure, environmental landscape and management. The exhibition must have enough space to introduce the achievements of ministries, sectors and localities over the past 80 years. Each sector and locality must exhibit its own achievements. The Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations also participate in the exhibition.

According to the Prime Minister, this center must be connected and become a cultural and historical complex of Co Loa land, thereby honoring the thousand-year tradition of civilization; demonstrating that it is a center for developing cultural and entertainment industries. It is necessary to exploit all the space; create conditions for artists to demonstrate their talents and make a living from their profession; thereby enhancing the creation of conditions for people to enjoy culture, especially internationalizing the cultural identity of the nation to the world; nationalizing the civilization of humanity in Vietnam; so that the cultural and entertainment industry becomes one of the key economic sectors serving the country.

The Prime Minister stated that this is also a tourism product to promote to the world, enhance the position and role of Vietnam in the international arena, thereby investing, focusing on leadership, direction, and promoting the spirit of public-private cooperation.

The Prime Minister requested that from now until the end of July 2025, the construction of the National Exhibition Fair Center must be basically completed; the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism continues to complete the Project to organize an Exhibition of socio-economic achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day to introduce the achievements of ministries, branches and localities; develop cultural and artistic complexes; contribute to the development of the cultural and entertainment industry, enhance the position of Vietnam; people enjoy the fruits of the revolution through this center.

The Prime Minister also requested ministries, branches and units to actively call for and attract partners and units around the world to this center to organize international events. The most important thing is to race to progress and complete the items. The Steering Committee of the "Exhibition of socio-economic achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day" needs to closely coordinate with the investor, have a plan to take over the premises to calculate the organization of the exhibition because there is not much time left from now until the exhibition.

After the ministries, branches and units reported on the progress of the project and the exhibition organization plan, concluding the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of Vingroup Corporation, thanks to which the National Exhibition Fair Center project has basically taken shape. The Corporation has strictly implemented the Prime Minister's direction in directing the investment and construction work.

The Prime Minister stated that the long-term goal of the National Exhibition Fair Center is to form a regional and world-class exhibition fair center; to demonstrate the national stature and the country's growth after the years of Renovation, through specific products and symbolic works; to have a space worthy of the country's heroic historical traditions and efforts to overcome difficulties; to contribute to promoting the cultural and entertainment industry; for people to enjoy the achievements of the whole country after 80 years, the cultural achievements; this is also a place to attract the quintessence of civilization and culture of humanity.

The Prime Minister requested ministries, branches, and the Steering Committee, based on their functions, tasks, and powers, to organize and implement well, contributing to achieving the set goals for the National Exhibition and Fair Center; prepare for an exhibition of 80 years of achievements, demonstrating it as a symbolic project on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day; form a cultural and artistic space associated with the historic Dong Anh area, the hometown of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. All ministries, branches, and localities actively participate in the exhibition of achievements over the past 80 years to be proud of and promote this spirit; promote the commercialization of cultural products.

The Prime Minister requested that the exhibition be held from August 28 to September 6, 2025; Vingroup accelerates the construction progress, completes the architectural landscape and accompanying services to ensure convenience for the people. Hanoi City also ensures infrastructure for transportation, telecommunications, electricity, water, traffic coordination, green landscape, environmental sanitation, around the area, considering this a highlight project of Hanoi.

The Prime Minister directed the inauguration of the National Exhibition and Fair Center on August 19 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, which will be held online with the main connection point being this center. Ministries and sectors must prepare for the exhibition under the direction of Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh. Before the opening, it is also necessary to organize major cultural events that attract a large number of people to participate, considering this as the starting point for major cultural events in the future. It is necessary to promote creative potential.

The Prime Minister also agreed in principle on specific mechanisms and policies for the National Exhibition and Fair Center, assigning Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh to preside over and implement them.

The Prime Minister said that if necessary, we must hire foreign consultants with capacity and qualifications in organizing major cultural events, and Vietnam also needs to have a team to follow to acquire technology and knowledge. We agree to "only discuss, not discuss back", once promised, done, and implemented, there must be results and products. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism must develop a specific organizational schedule, assigning "clear people, clear work, clear responsibilities, clear progress, clear results, clear authority".
