Thanks to his diligence, hard work, and willingness to think outside the box and take risks, over the years, Mr. Nguyen Hoa Tham (residing in Hamlet 6, Luong Hoa Commune, Tay Ninh Province) has applied advanced techniques to cultivating various crops, yielding high economic returns. Mr. Nguyen Hoa Tham - one of the typical farmers in the movement "Farmers compete in production, good business, unite to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty" of Luong Hoa commune

When he got married, Mr. Tham was given 1,000 square meters of rice land by his parents to cultivate. After many years of successful farming, he and his wife saved up to buy another 1,000 square meters of land to expand their farming area and increase their income. Not only that, each year he also rents several hectares of land for agricultural production. Currently, he cultivates 14 hectares of rice, lemons, coconuts, apricot blossoms, lemongrass, etc. Mr. Tham shared: “When I first started, I faced many difficulties, but I didn't get discouraged. I gradually learned about farming techniques. Especially recently, the Department of Agriculture and the local government have shown great interest in organizing many training courses, guiding me on planting, caring for, and preventing diseases in various crops. Through these training sessions, I have accumulated more knowledge and experience to apply to production.”

With a stable income from his crops, in 2012, Mr. Tham invested in two tractors and started plowing land for local farmers, increasing his family's income. In recent years, he has bought additional excavators and farm tractors to support his family's production and to provide work for farmers in need. Thanks to this, he has earned extra income, ensuring the economic stability of his family.

Mr. Do Ngoc Lien - Head of the Farmers' Association in Hamlet 6, Luong Hoa Commune, said: "Not only is Mr. Tham good at business, he also enthusiastically supports every time the Farmers' Association and the Agriculture sector coordinate to organize training classes and provide technical guidance on production for people at his house. He is also an exemplary leader in local movements."

With his hard work and efforts to improve, over the years, Mr. Tham has received many certificates of merit at all levels for his outstanding achievements in the movement of good farmers and businessmen./.
