The program is hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan, organized at the Astana National Opera House (Astana, Kazakhstan).
The program was attended by high-ranking delegations from the two countries, the diplomatic corps in Astana, a large audience of Kazakhstanis and the Vietnamese community in the host country.

In his opening speech, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung affirmed that the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Kazakhstan was founded by President Ho Chi Minh during his visit to Kazakhstan in 1959.
Following the visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Vietnam in 2023, this historic visit of General Secretary To Lam to Kazakhstan will further strengthen the friendship between the two countries and upgrade the relationship to a Strategic Partnership, marking an important milestone in promoting bilateral cooperation in the coming period.
The Vietnam - Kazakhstan friendship concert was performed by artists from the Vietnam National Academy of Music and Kazakh artists, under the direction of conductor Tran Nhat Minh and Kazakh conductor Arman Urazgaliev.
People's Artist Bui Cong Duy made an impression when he performed the Concerto by composer Felix Mendelssohn.
People's Artist Bui Cong Duy - Honorary Professor of the Kazakhstan National University of Arts - acted as artistic director. People's Artist Bui Cong Duy also performed the Violin Concerto by composer Felix Mendelssohn.
The highlight of the program is 200 artists performing Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 on the stage of the Astana Opera House.

Evaluating the Vietnam - Kazakhstan Friendship Concert program, Minister Nguyen Van Hung emphasized that the event is a vivid demonstration, an important mark, contributing to strengthening the friendship and developing the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Kazakhstan.
