In the TV series "Our Family Suddenly Becomes Happy ," People's Artist Cong Ly plays the father of Phuong (Kieu Anh) and will appear in upcoming episodes. Since his illness, this is his third time participating in a television series, after: "Ex-Husband, Ex-Wife, Ex-Lover" and "Under the Tree of Happiness."
Ngoc Ha, the wife of People's Artist Cong Ly, said that even though it was only a small role, the actor was very excited and looking forward to it. Besides that, the actor also felt a little melancholic. Cong Ly's wife wrote: "I know he's happy to be working at this time, but deep down, Mr. Ly is also incredibly pained because he can't let loose like before. But being able to work, to contribute, and to meet people in the profession helps him feel less lonely."

People's Artist Cong Ly fell ill in July 2021 and had to be hospitalized for many months. After being discharged, he continued treatment according to the doctor's plan and underwent physical therapy. The Deputy Director of the Hanoi Drama Theatre and his wife often traveled to Japan for treatment. Ngoc Ha was always by his side, diligently taking care of her husband.
Currently, People's Artist Cong Ly's health is gradually recovering. He has been able to return to the theater stage and act in films, taking on small supporting roles.
