People's Artist Thu Hà was born in 1969 in Tuyên Quang. At the age of 17, she left Tuyên Quang to study in Hanoi . The actress was also one of the few Hanoi actors to participate in commercial films in Ho Chi Minh City in the early 1990s. When this genre declined, Thu Hà returned to focus on contributing to the theater.
