Sharing with VietNamNet reporter when being a judge in the special episode, designer Duc Hung said he had an emotional experience, when fashion was associated with national pride, in the atmosphere of the whole country looking forward to National Day September 2.
In the special episode, the Top 10 contestants not only tested their catwalk skills but also took on a meaningful challenge. The young people will have to demonstrate their mettle through understanding the culture and history of their nation, imbuing them with the value of peace , thereby confidently shining on their journey to conquer the world.

"As a model, in addition to charisma and skills, it is important to be imbued with national culture and understand the value of peace. When wearing the ao dai, you not only represent yourself, but also bring the opportunity to promote the image of the country and Vietnamese people to international friends" - Designer Duc Hung emphasized.
According to him, this challenge also helps contestants practice solidarity, collective awareness and teamwork skills: "A star never shines alone. Behind the halo, there is always a silent support team. When you know how to appreciate that, you will mature and shine brighter."
The highlight of the episode is the journey that takes the contestants to Ba Dinh Square - a place where the historical spirit of the nation is preserved. In the sacred space of Hanoi , the young models will be inspired by the very scene that witnessed the Declaration of Independence in 1945.

Sharing his feelings, designer Duc Hung expressed: "I was extremely moved when I accepted the invitation to be a judge. I feel lucky to live in peacetime and appreciate even more the sacrifices of my ancestors to regain peace and independence. I wish to pass on to the younger generation - especially models - not only the love of fashion but also the love of the country and national pride."
Having been involved in national culture for many years, designer Duc Hung hopes that the contestants will not only mature professionally but also know how to take advantage of their titles and positions to spread patriotism and love of fashion to the community, especially the youth.
"This challenge is not to prove your performance skills, but to test your understanding and attachment to Vietnamese culture and history. When you understand and are proud of your roots, you will step out into the world with more courage and confidence" - the designer affirmed.
Many contestants risked climbing scaffolding to pose on Vietnam's Next Top Model:
