At the opening night of Vietnam International Fashion Week 2024, designer Duc Hung closed the show with his collection "There Was a Winter Like That," leaving the audience in awe.
Miss H'Hen Niê opened the show in a striking red outfit. The dress made an impression from the very first steps thanks to its meticulously quilted velvet material.
Each design that appeared on the runway was like a gentle, cool breeze of Hanoi 's winter, blending traditional beauty with a modern spirit.
Duc Hung uses bold and skillful cuts and slits to create a fresh fashion style that is still distinctly Vietnamese.
The highlight of the collection lies in its 3D sculpting technique, creating a puffy, airy texture that allows the patterns to resemble blooming flowers on a luxurious velvet background.
The exquisite tailoring – one of Duc Hung's signature styles – continues to captivate audiences with his skill and artistry. With each detail, he creates diverse silhouettes, such as flared dresses, lantern sleeves, or floor-length skirts, resulting in an elegant and unmistakable style.
Not content with traditional designs, Duc Hung keeps up with modern fashion trends with short silhouettes, paired with wide-leg pants or short skirts. These designs give a youthful, dynamic, and vibrant feel.
Continuing her role as the leading model, H'Hen Niê showcased her elegant and sophisticated aura upon her appearance. Despite it being her first collaboration with designer Đức Hùng, the two made a strong impression.
"There was a winter like that" is not just about fashion, but also a story about a warm, gentle, and intimate winter, where each design is like a beautiful and complete moment of Hanoi's winter.
