Inspired by an ancient and quiet land, where culture, art and Vietnamese soul blend in every breath, designer Duc Hung brings a new collection called "Purple in the Heart of Hue" - a fashion story told in the language of the ao dai, in the colors of memories, and with love for Vietnamese heritage.

For the first time, designer Duc Hung devoted an entire collection to "telling" about Hue in the language of fashion. His emotions remained the same as the first days he set foot in the ancient capital: emotional, wistful and full of nostalgia. Hue came to him not loudly, not hurriedly - but gradually, seeping in, light as the morning mist on Trang Tien bridge, deep as the sound of Thien Mu pagoda bells lingering on the Perfume River.

The collection "Purple in the Heart of Hue" was presented by the Top 4 models crowned Vietnam's Next Top Model: Champion Lai Mai Hoa and 3 Runners-up Giang Phung, Vu My Ngan, Bao Ngoc. Each model wore designs in the warm, luxurious Hue purple color, a different and attractive image of the Ao Dai, expressing the elegant tradition of the ancient capital as well as the difference and uniqueness of this collection.

"I have been to Hue many times, and each time brings back a different feeling. But what haunts me, what makes me want to express it in the language of fashion, is purple - the color of Hue, the color of a land with a deep identity" - Designer Duc Hung shared.

Also according to designer Duc Hung, in the S-shaped strip of land, no province or city has a color named after it, only "Hue purple". That is the purple of the afternoons on the Perfume River, of the ao dai of Dong Khanh female students, of sim flowers, lagerstroemia flowers, and of the pale purple sunlight melting into the sound of the bells of Thien Mu Pagoda. A purple that is both gentle, proud, and quiet, but always makes people's hearts flutter.
