Phan Đăng Hoàng, born in 2000, is the first Vietnamese designer to showcase his personal brand at Milan Fashion Week, on the same day as major international brands such as Gucci and Versace.
At a media event on September 5th, Phan Đăng Hoàng revealed that he had chosen the Royal Palace of Milan – a place steeped in the city's history – as the venue for his show.

The "Ceramics" collection recreates the image of Vietnamese women from 100 years ago from a modern, innovative, and creative perspective. Combining inspiration from the silk paintings of the renowned artist Nguyen Phan Chanh and the art of ceramic sculpting, these designs promise to create a breakthrough in street fashion.
Phan Đăng Hoàng expressed that he has always wanted to present the image of Vietnamese women as strong, capable, and independent in his designs.
"In the past and present, my works have all been inspired by Vietnamese materials such as ceramics, culture, sculpture, and architecture… My greatest wish is for international friends to get to know Vietnamese fashion brands," the Gen Z designer expressed.
Phan Đăng Hoàng said he also encountered many obstacles, from having to work remotely with a foreign team to organizing a show at a historical site that had to go through strict censorship.
The process of creating the collection also presented many challenges, and figuring out how to make each product a unique personal mark was something he pondered deeply.
The designer, born in 2000, shared: "This time, I'm going alone and carrying all my luggage and the works I've been preparing for months to Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2025. In return, I've gained strength and maturity after a period of learning and self-development in Italy, allowing me to make my first mark in my design career."
Before becoming a fashion designer, Phan Đăng Hoàng was famous for his series of portraits of Vietnamese artists. In 2018, he received a talent scholarship in fashion design from Nuova Accademia Di Belle Arti (NABA), an Italian art academy, and graduated with honors.
Last May, Phan Đăng Hoàng made an impression by becoming the only Vietnamese designer to be honored by Forbes as an "Influential Artist Under 30 in Asia".
In the introduction, Phan Đăng Hoàng is described as a talented young Vietnamese designer who pursues a fashion style that blends Asian and Western cultures, presenting the image of Vietnamese women through his own creative techniques.
