A female angler caught a giant carp weighing up to 41kg, surprising viewers.
Jacqueline Horvath, an Austrian angler, has caught a giant carp weighing 41kg, breaking the world record for the largest carp ever caught by a female angler.
Horvath reportedly caught the fish at the world-famous Euro Aqua fishing grounds in Hungary. In a Facebook live stream, Horvath said she caught three other carp during the session, all weighing more than 30kg, and that she was “extremely happy” to have set her new record.

Previously, a man named Martin Davidson also caught a giant carp weighing 51 kg at Euro Aqua lake.
"I didn't go fishing to set a world record, but I've been pretty lucky. Euro Aqua Lake is currently teeming with large carp, estimated at more than 120 weighing 31kg or more," Davidson said.
According to this British tourist, during the 2 weeks at the lake, he did not mind the rain and wind, sometimes even the wind speed reached 60 km/h and used a lot of bait every day before catching the "super big" fish.
The family Cyprinidae includes many species of freshwater fish that live mainly in North America, Africa, Europe and Asia.
Most of them feed on invertebrates and plants. All species in this family lay eggs. The largest species is the giant catfish (Catlocarpio siamensis), which can grow up to 3 metres long and weigh 300 kg.
