Temporarily suspending ship licensing in Quang Ninh waters

Due to the impact of storm No. 9, the Department of Agriculture and Environment issued a document announcing the temporary suspension of licensing for ships operating in Quang Ninh waters.

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from this afternoon, September 24, storm No. 9 will affect the Gulf of Tonkin.

To ensure the safety of ships and boats operating in the waters of Quang Ninh, the Department of Agriculture and Environment requests the Department of Construction, the Quang Ninh Maritime Port Authority, the Inland Waterways Port Authority, and the People's Committees of coastal localities to temporarily suspend granting licenses for watercraft to go to sea (it is possible to consider allowing ships to return to shelters, anchor, and complete this work before 2:00 p.m. on September 24, 2025). At the same time, temporarily suspend granting licenses for sightseeing and accommodation activities at sea.

The suspension of ship licensing will start at 10:00 a.m. on September 24, 2025 and will end when there is the final bulletin on storm No. 9.
