At the working session this afternoon, the technology car driver returned nearly 71 million VND, the amount that the customer mistakenly transferred when paying the fare.

On the afternoon of March 25, Ms. VTL (living in Vung Tau City) said that she had received back nearly 71 million VND (minus 71,000 VND for the fare) from a technology car driver. This was the amount of money Ms. L. had mistakenly transferred to the driver earlier.

Ms. L. said that this afternoon, the two of them worked together, discussed, and the technology car driver transferred back the full amount of money that she had mistakenly transferred. The two had reached an agreement, so Ms. L. did not continue to file a complaint, and the driver did not request a public apology on social media like the previous meeting.

About 10 days ago, Ms. L. booked a GrabBike in Vung Tau City. When she arrived, she was supposed to pay 71,000 VND but instead transferred 71 million VND. After that, Ms. L. called the driver again but the phone was turned off.

Information posted by female passenger earlier

Two days later, Ms. L. posted the driver's information on social media, calling on the online community if anyone knew the driver or had related information to advise the driver to quickly return the mistakenly transferred money.

Ms. L. said that because she had transferred large sums of money many times, when she had biometrics, she still habitually put her face in to be scanned.

On the afternoon of March 19, Mr. NTQ (Grab driver) and his family went to the authorities to work and met with Ms. L. However, at this meeting, the two sides could not reach an agreement to resolve the issue. The driver's family requested that Ms. L. publicly apologize for posting the driver's information on social media before returning the money.

Meanwhile, Ms. L. said that she had not been able to contact the driver before, so she repeatedly transferred more money in low denominations to the driver's bank account, and even asked the technology car company to contact the driver again, but did not receive a response from the driver, so she had to post on social media.

Because they could not reach an agreement, Ms. L. still has not received the 71 million VND that was mistakenly transferred. Both sides have agreed to resolve the matter on March 25.
