- The 2026 high school graduation exam is fast approaching. In the province, more than 9,000 12th-grade students have entered the final stages of revision after months of school-organized knowledge consolidation, skill practice, surveys, and mock exams, preparing for this important final exam.
From the beginning of the second semester, high schools in the province reviewed the curriculum content, developed review plans for each stage, and closely followed the structure of the sample exam questions from the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET). This school year, Cao Loc High School has 547 12th-grade students, and exam preparation is implemented through continuous assessment and adjustments. After the MOET announced the sample exam questions, subject departments organized the analysis of the questions, practiced solving them, built a system of equivalent questions, and incorporated them into review sessions. The school organized 3 in-person mock exams and 3 online mock exams for all subjects. The results of each survey were analyzed in detail to predict each student's graduation potential, thereby adjusting the review plan, advising on appropriate learning methods, and informing families to cooperate in supporting the students.

Ms. Nguyen Tuyet Chinh, Principal of Cao Loc High School, said: "Immediately after receiving the sample exam from the Ministry of Education and Training, the school directed the subject departments to analyze and solve the sample exam, and develop an equivalent sample exam; teachers were required to organize practice sessions for students to take, correct, and analyze the exam during review lessons. After each mock exam, the school evaluated the results, identified areas where students were weak, and adjusted the review plan accordingly."
While the initial phase focused on consolidating foundational knowledge, this stage of the exam preparation has shifted to a final push, emphasizing exam-taking skills and addressing areas of weakness. At the Provincial Ethnic Boarding High School, exam preparation began at the start of the school year by guiding students in choosing exam subjects and setting admission goals to develop appropriate study plans. In addition to regular morning classes, students receive intensive review sessions in the afternoons and evenings for key subjects. Pham Quynh Chi, a student in class 12A1, shared: "Our teachers review each type of knowledge, from reinforcing concepts to practicing skills and exam questions. They also regularly encourage us, helping us maintain a relaxed and confident mindset before the exam."
Along with the students' efforts, the teaching staff is directly supporting them in this final stretch. Through training sessions, classroom observations, and experience sharing on high school graduation exam preparation organized by the Department of Education and Training, teachers from various schools have had the opportunity to update their teaching methods, understand the exam structure, and share exam preparation experiences suitable for different student groups. In class, teachers focus on systematizing knowledge, correcting different types of questions, guiding students on exam-taking skills, time management, and handling common question types. Outside of class, many teachers continue to support students through online discussion groups, assigning self-study tasks and answering questions about any remaining difficulties.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Tuyen, a Literature teacher at Dong Dang High School, said: "The subject department has developed a question bank and conducted a rigorous review before putting it into use. Besides reinforcing knowledge, teachers focus on guiding students in brainstorming, argumentation, paragraph writing, and essay writing skills so that they can best utilize their abilities in the exam."
Alongside the review process, schools have completed the dissemination of exam regulations, registration instructions, and other information related to the exam organization. To date, 100% of 12th-grade students in the province have completed their exam registration on the Ministry of Education and Training's system. Directives from the Ministry of Education and Training, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Department of Education and Training have been fully disseminated to officials, teachers, students, and parents.
As the exam day approaches, psychological pressure is unavoidable for many students. However, after months of preparation with the support of schools, teachers, and families, most students have become more proactive in their studies and have a more stable mindset before the exam. Final review sessions are still taking place in schools across the province, completing the last pieces of the puzzle regarding knowledge, skills, and mindset so that over 9,000 12th-grade students can confidently enter the 2026 high school graduation exam, overcoming this important milestone in their student lives.
