Cars of all kinds imported through Hai Phong area increased by nearly 41% over the same period.

Automobiles of all kinds and auto parts are among the five imported goods that increased compared to the same period last year.

In the first 6 months of 2025, the total import and export turnover of goods at Customs units belonging to and directly under the Customs Branch of Region 3 reached more than 56 billion USD, down 5.53% over the same period in 2024.

Total export turnover alone is more than 27 billion USD, down 9.37% over the same period in 2024; of which total taxable export turnover is nearly 118 million USD, down 48.13% over the same period in 2024.

Total import turnover reached about 29 billion USD, down 1.65% over the same period in 2024; of which total taxable import turnover reached 11.8 billion USD, up 5.79% over the same period in 2024.

Compared to the same period in 2024, the import turnover of 5 taxable items including: automobiles of all kinds; automobile spare parts; gasoline; beer, alcohol and machinery and equipment increased compared to the same period last year. Specifically, automobiles of all kinds reached 677.75 million USD, up nearly 41%; automobile spare parts reached 82.33 million USD, up 61.54%; gasoline reached 153.63 million USD, up 16.3%; beer, alcohol reached 10.41 million USD, up 10.56% and machinery and equipment reached nearly 3.3 billion USD, up 24.23%.

The import turnover of three taxable items, namely motorbike spare parts; iron and steel; and cosmetics, decreased compared to the same period last year, of which iron and steel decreased by nearly 19% and cosmetics decreased by more than 9%.
