Singapore's leading daily newspaper describes the perfect life of Johnny Cranston, an English teacher and environmental activist from the US, who moved from the crowded city center to Ocean City four months ago.
“It’s been four months of green living,” he beams, the sun glistening on the artificial lake behind him. “I’ve done my part to help the environment because my carbon footprint has gone down significantly! Because everything – from afternoons spent by the pool, to meetings with friends – all happen inside this self-contained paradise,” Cranston tells the Straits Times.
According to Straits Times, every day after work, Mr. Cranston takes the VinBus electric bus home. The quiet electric motor replaces the honking of cars in the city. After only 30 minutes of travel, the crowded buildings are replaced by swaying palm trees, escaping the smoky place.
